▹ The start of a collab

GEORGE LEE SET TO COLLAB WITH LEE HI.

"Wow, news spreads fast, we haven't even started the process yet," Lee Hi said the second George entered the studio.

Deciding to collaborate was an idea on BigHit's part and both idols were quick to agree. George was a fan of her music and she was rather fond of him too, so there was no reason for either of them to pass up the suggestion. How the news had got out, well neither of them knew but according to the media, nothing had been confirmed and George knew there would be no comment on the articles until their song was set to release.

George shrugged off his jacket and sat down on the studio sofa beside her as she scanned through the article, leaning slightly closer to show him what had been written. George simply waved it off, in his mind if the fans knew something was coming, it would create more hype so he wasn't particularly phased. Lee Hi, however, looked a little worried and he noticed that instantly.

"You alright? If you're worried about the article, it's fine-"

"Ah, no it's um not the article, it's more of the reaction..." She started nervously, fiddling with her hands. "I think your fans are lovely but some of them can be a little possessive and I'm just nervous they wouldn't be okay with me doing this song with you."

She flinched at her own words, expecting George to look offended or angry but much to her surprise, he began smiling.

"It's possible for a negative reaction from some, but not all. I can guarantee the positive will overshine the bad and if it gets too much then let me know and I'll help you in any way i can," he assured her.

She nodded and plastered on a thankful smile. "Thank you, I heard you prefer to go by just George rather than Oppa..."

George nodded. "Yeah, don't worry about formalities or anything, I'm chill with that stuff. Just call me George."

When she first accepted the offer to collab, she was beyond nervous. She didn't know George personally, she knew him only as the professional - to some extent - world-renowned BTS member. It was quite daunting and though she had heard that he was very relaxed and friendly, she hadn't seen that for herself until now. As much as she hates to admit it, she had expected him to be a little more reserved but he was as everyone often described him; cool, calm and relaxed.

He treated her like a friend, someone he had known for years and she started to think that maybe is the reason he's liked so much. He doesn't care who you are, what your label is or anything. He's friends with everyone without judgement and goes with the flow.

Sometime later, the studio was filled with professionals helping the pair write their song. They spent hours brainstorming ideas and coming up with different parts of the song, they had made amazing progress on day one which they were both ecstatic about. It had gotten to 8 pm when they decided to call it a night and George offered to take Lee Hi out for food after barely eating the entire day.

She could not pass up the invitation, she was starving.

"I'm so excited for the song already," she buzzed as he opened the door for her, their masks covering the bottom half of their faces and a bucket hat covering his eyes. He had pulled her hood over her head to avoid any prying eyes just as they entered a local pizza place. George's eyes shined as he smiled and nodded along with her.

"It's only day one and we've got so much done, I'm super excited for the finished project.

The two ordered their meals and were later seated down by a window. George pulled off his mask and adjusted his bucket hat and unknown to the two of them, a flash of a camera in the distance went off multiple times. Far too engrossed in conversation, neither of them saw the reporter.

Two hours of conversation and bubbling laughter later, George had dropped Lee Hi off at home and headed back to the dorms for some much-needed sleep. Though, he was expecting to be greeted by a very worried Yoongi when he stepped through the door.

"There are some leaked pictures of you on a date and Army aren't happy about it..."

Oh for fucks sake...

literally an idol could breathe on another idol and be caught up in a dating scandal. I really liked this chapter though, however, i am not too fond of the ending. the scandal was supposed to be between Chaeri and George but idk i felt like people wouldn't like that so i changed it up. however, if you do want some drama like that with chaeri then i could possibly do it 👀
