After a few day had passed Kion was getting much stronger and he had been doing well with his King lessons as well but he noticed that Kovu and Vitani have been sneaking around the Pride Lands so he decided to follow them one day and when he found them they were back in their old den looking at something. "Hey guys what are you looking at?" Asked Kion. "Oh, Kion it's only you we thought you were Simba or someone else who would be mad for a second." Said Vitani. "Nope it's just me Vitani but what are you two up to." Said Kion. "Nothing we were just kinda missing this place because this is the place where we were born." Said Kovu. "I understand." Said Kion. As they were heading back home Kion, Kovu, and Vitani felt like they were being watched. "Does it feel like someone is watching us?" Asked Vitani. "Yeah it does." Said Kion. Just then a giant pack of hyenas cane out of the shadows and started to chase them but once they were at the border the lead hyena pounced and pinned Vitani. "No." Said Kovu. "LET. HER. GO." Yelled Kion, he then released a giant roar that was heard all over the Pride Lands and Outlands. The hyenas were blown half way across the Outlands and Kion ran to make sure his sister is okay. "Vitani are you alright?" Asked Kion. "Yes Kion I am fine, thanks to you." Said Vitani. "What was that Kion, I never knew you could roar like that?" Said Kovu. "Neither did I Kovu, I think we better get home and get some answers." Said Kion. Meanwhile back at Pride Rock. "That was my son's roar?" Asked Zira. "Yes Zira yes, he is ready it is time." Said Rafiki. "No Rafiki, he can't possibly be ready he is still just a cub." Said Zira. "Zira, Zira you heard the roar." Said Rafiki. "Yes, I heard it, but I just was hoping he would get it after his King, hunting, and fighting training was done so he would be more prepared is all." Said Zira. "Kion is ready, it is time." Said Rafiki. "Time for what? Mom? Rafiki?" Asked Kion. "Son we need to talk." Said Zira. "Oh no, mom we already had that talk, I do not feel like listening to that mushy stuff again." Said Kion. "It's not that Kion." Said Zira. "No, no most definitely not that." Said Rafiki. "Oh is it about my roar because I was hoping to ask you about that." Said Kion. "Well son you see when you were born you were given a great gift called the roar of the elders which is only wielded by the Pride Lands fiercest Lion and so now you must chose four other lions to join you in protecting the Pride Lands and this team will be known as the Lion Guard." Said Zira. "So I will not only be future King but I will also be leading this Lion Guard?" Said Kion. "Yes son, now according to tradition you will need the fastest, strongest, keenest of sight, and the bravest lion in the Pride Lands to join you." Said Zira. "Well I already know who they are." Said Kion. "Who?" Asked Zira. "Shabaha is definitely the Bravest, Tazama is Keenest of Sight, Imara is the Strongest, and Kasi is the Fastest, And just so I have a second in command I am going to make Vitani the loyalist so Incase I am injured she can take charge of the Lion Guard until I am healed or in case I have somewhere to go when I am King." Said Kion. "What do you think Rafiki?" Asked Zira. "I think they are wonderful choices Kion." Said Rafiki. "Alright I will go and round them up so they can hear the news, oh and I'll explain things to them so you don't have to Kion." Said Zira. "Thanks mom." Said Kion.
