Interview with LheaRyder

Author of The W.A.I.T., first place Vampire/Werewolf

What inspired you to write The W.A.I.T., and how did you shape the world and create its characters?

Well, almost all the ideas for The W.A.I.T.-- the idea of the Downworld (the realm where the story takes place), the plot, characters, conflict et cetera first came to me in a really odd dream. From then on, I spend days and nights thinking about it, and some time down that lane, I decided to actually start writing the story.

What was the hardest part of the story to write and why? How did you overcome it?

The subplots! There are so many of them and I often tended to mix them up. To overcome this REALLY ANNOYING issue, I started maintaining a spreadsheet-- a compilation of the flowcharts of each and every subplot.

Do you have any advice you'd like to share for writers in the vampire/werewolf genre?

If I had to say anything, I'd say, bring your own twist to the genre. Most of us know the werewolf and vampire genre as 'cliche', so it'd be nice to come across a book that is different.
