9:16 PM,  Woaba Boba

Leilah watches as Sera talks about her friend. It was a refreshing sight for her. Sera was never this open about someone else, or maybe because she didn't have a friend back then. She wasn't quite the talkative type, after all

"You seem quite fond of him" Leilah said with a slight smug

"W-what...! No!" Sera turned her face — trying to hide her embarrassment, and she realized it was out of her character too. But Sera knows that's not true. If it was, she wouldn't have kissed him out of the blue that night

"I'm only kidding. Why are you getting all defensive?" Leilah chuckled — amused by it. Sera didn't respond. She was just silent, still embarrassed, "So? Did you make more friends there?"  Leilah asked

"Yeah, I guess... Just a couple"

"Sometimes, a couple is all you need" Leilah glanced to the window next to her, looking at the night view, illuminated by the street lamps, "Even one should be enough"

Sera analyzed her sister's expression. Her eyes seemed empty, 'Don't tell me she...' A thought struck Sera's head

"Sis..." Sera quietly began, "H-how was your school life?"

Leilah gave a painful sigh — yet with a smile, "I didn't have any. Not in my school years" She replied, "Don't worry. I don't care about that anymore"

'But still... you used to care, right?' Sera thought. She must've been at least lonely a bit, even if she didn't care

"Come to think of it, Sis... When did your powers start to manifest?" Sera asked

"It was on my second year in high school"

"Wait... you still didn't make friends even though you were a high-tier?" Sera was a bit surprised, and she just realized that her question was a bit inconsiderate, "Oh, I didn't mean to—"

"It's fine" Leilah assured, "It was actually the opposite, Sera"

"W-what do you mean by that?"

"When I became a high-tier, I was immediately assigned as Queen. A Queen that was stronger than the King" Leilah replied, "And my way of ruling made them oppose me strongly"

"What did you do?"

***

Leilah explained to her little sister everything that happened while she took over as Queen 9 years ago...

How she restricted the use of powers. How the other royals opposed her. Anytime she spotted someone that has used their powers, she would give them a taste of their own medicine

A student overpowering their powers to abuse someone below them. It was always irritating for her to witness, because she knows what it feels like as a late-bloomer
