Ch. 16: Your Parents

Timeskip 3 days

(Y/N) POV: 

Mina: "(Y/N)! Hurry up you dork! We're gonna be late for lunch!"

(Y/N): "Well we wouldn't be running late if you finished your work in time instead of sleeping through half the class!"

Mina: "THAT'S NOT IMPORTANT!"

(Y/N): "It IS important!" 

It was Wednesday. Lunch marked the halfway point of the school day. As Mina pulled me through the hallway and the sea of people, I wondered what else she'd end up dragging me into in the future. This girl'll probably be the end of me, but it's an end I suppose I'll accept. We entered the lunchroom, grabbed our trays and decided on what to eat. Mina and I both decided to get some ramen for ourselves. We sat down at the usual table and began to eat our noodles while conversing with our friends. It was the usual banter between the Bakusquad. Bakugou saying little if anything, Kirishima and Sero chiming in every now and then, then me, Mina, and Denki being the chaotic airheads we are, with Jiro occasionally poking Denki with her ear jacks to shut him up from something. 

Mina: "So (Y/N)?" *swallowing a mouthful of food* "You busy today?"

(Y/N): "No, why?"

Mina: "I was thinking maybe we could do something later!"

(Y/N): "Like what?"

Mina: "I dunno."

(Y/N): "Well, we could go out to eat somewhere, or we could take a mall trip."

Mina: "I think the mall would be cool!"

(Y/N): "OK! We can go there the-" *phone vibrates in his pocket* "Eh? Hang on, just got a random text."

I pulled my phone out of my pocket and my eyes widened in surprise. It was a text message from my mom.

Mina: "What is it?"

(Y/N): "Uhhh...I just got a text from my mom asking to see me today. She also personally requested you being there."

Mina's eyes widened as she dropped her chopsticks and her hair stood on end. She was really caught off guard from the fact my parents wanted to meet her. She was still as a statue and I even had to snap my fingers in her face to snap her back to reality.

(Y/N): "Mina? Mina! You good?"

Mina: "Huh? What? Umm...Yeah! I'm fine! Why wouldn't I be! I'm totally OK!" *nervous laughter*

(Y/N): "You sure?"

Mina: "You...you said your parents wanted to meet ME?"

(Y/N): "Yeah. My mom said that both her and my dad want to meet this girl that I've been telling them about for the past few weeks."

Mina: "Ummm...wait...You've been telling them about me?"

(Y/N): "Yeah! I've been telling them all about what you've done for me. They seem to be pretty eager to meet you. Kinda like how your parents were with me."

Mina: "O-Oh! OK! Well, if your parents want to meet me, then...why don't we go visit your parents today!"

(Y/N): "You sure?"

Mina: "Yeah! I'll be nervous as hell but I'll go! It's only fair since I made you meet my parents already!"

(Y/N): "OK! My mom said she can pick us up whenever we're ready."
