The Betrayal
Toro
Fennec's gaze was unnerving. Toro scoffed at the woman's attempt to get to him. He turned his attention from her and focused on something much more pleasant.
He cleaned his blaster as he watched Bryn bite her lip, trying to wrap her ankle the best she could with a few scraps of cloth. He had never seen a woman as beautiful as her, and the thing was, she didn't even seem to notice it herself.
He smirked as his thoughts went elsewhere about her and he focused on his blaster. If the Mandalorian could read his thoughts, he would be dead in a blink of an eye.
Toro knew Bryn was also on edge, not only from Fennec but from him as well. She yawned but stayed alert. She no doubt saw him as dangerous as well.
He bit his lip, he could show her dangerous.
Bryn sat on the rocks, the furthest she could be while still keeping an eye on them. She laid back and stared up at the rising sky.
Fennec let out a groan. "Oh, it's been a while. Oh, look, the suns are coming up."
Toro never took his gaze from Bryn. "Quiet."
Fennec didn't listen and lowered her voice so Bryn couldn't hear. "Look, there's still time to make my rendezvous in Mos Espa. Take me to it and I can pay you double the price on my head."
Toro scoffed. "I don't care about the money."
"Oh, so the Mandalorian keeps all the money for himself."
"Only because I let him."
Fennec shand let out a humorless laugh. "Does't seem that way. It seems like he's called all the shots."
Toro glared. "Shows what you know. I hired Mando, this is my job." He growled. "Bringing you in will make me a full member of the Bounty hunter's Guild."
Fennec raised a brown. "You already have something the guild values far more than me. A package deal, actually, you just don't see it."
Toro couldn't help himself. "What?"
"The Mandalorian and the girl."
Toro narrowed his eyes. "What does Bryn have to do with this?"
Fennec gave a cold laugh. "I wasn't sure if it was her at first, I didn't take the job myself, but I knew I remembered her from somewhere. The bounty which the Mandalorian refused to deliver."
Toro tensed. "And Mando?"
"His armor alone is worth more than my bounty."
Toro shook his head. "I already told you, I don't care about the money,"
"Then think what it would do for your reputation." Toro's gaze slowly returned to her. "A Mandalorian shot up the guild in Nevarro, took not one, but two high value targets and went rogue."
Toro thought for a moment. "That Mandalorian?" He glanced up at Bryn. He had been wondering why someone like her had been traveling with Mando.
