19; results and brainwashing

Second place... I won second place! 

Akimoto Eli couldn't believe it, her friends were around her as they cheered her on, she felt a lot of eyes on her as she ignores their glares. She didn't have time to entertain everyone else as she was focused to win it all. 

On the other hand, Bakugou Katsuki was furious. And he couldn't do anything about it since she won fair and square. 

"The first game of the first year stage is finally over!" Midnight's strong and powerful voice rang through the students' ears. "Now, take a look at the results!" 

The screen appeared above the participants, it showed all the positions of the top forty-two students who won the first round. 

'Midoriya Izuku, Akimoto Eli, Todoroki Shouto, Bakugou Katsuki...' The list goes on, and thankfully, most of Eli's class passed.

Eli gasped, her face lighting up as she saw her classmate's names written on the screen. The girl turned around to face them and gave a big warm hug. "You guys did great!!" 

Uraraka giggled in the cuddle, along with Mina who was crying out in 'pain' from Eli's sudden hug. "EliiiiiI! Too tight!!" 

The other boys of the class appeared behind the three girls, Tenya grabs Akimoto's attention. "You did great out there, Akimoto! You even beat Bakugou!" 

Eli shows her bright teeth in a victorious smile. Her eyes closed as she rests her palms on her hips. "Right?!" She turns around to face the ash-blonde who has his palms hidden inside his pockets. 

He wasn't looking at her, he was looking down, his face in an even deeper frown. 

"I bet he's all fired up now." She remarked.

"The top forty-two made it through to the next round. It's unfortunate, but don't you worry even if you didn't make it! We've prepared other chances for you to shine," She pauses, giving the students a look. "The real competitions begin next!"

I wonder what's the next game gonna be...

"-now then, here is the second game!" The screen started to move like how the first game was decided. "I already know what it is, but what could it be? What could it be? I just said it, now here it is!!"

Cavalry Battle

"Cavalry Battle?" Eli tilts her head with a questioning look. 

"Let me explain, the participants can form teams of two to four people as they wish. It's basically the same as a regular Cavalry battle, but the one different thing is based on the results of the last game, each person has been assigned a point value." Midnight further explained.

Eli widens her eyes at the pro hero's announcement. "So that means..."
