Y/N's POV
I woke up from the dirty ground to the sound of the ostrich-horse galloping away.

I sat up abruptly and asked,

"What's going on? Where did Zuko go?"

"Probably to do something foolish."

I jumped up,

"I'm going after him."

Iroh didn't try to stop me, he nodded and returned to his tea.

I got up and started running as fast as I can in the direction that Zuko headed in, just hoping that I'd make it to him before he did anything stupid.

When I got to the mountains I could hear Zuko's shouting from a lot further down the mountain than he was. It was pouring down with rain and lightning was striking everywhere, the roar thunder echoed through the entire mountain range.

As I climbed up I heard,

"You've always thrown everything you could at me. Well, I can take it. And now I can give it back! Come on! Strike me! You've never held back before!"

I then heard him yell out in frustration.

It broke my heart hearing him like this, hearing him in so much pain, filled with so much sadness. All I wanted was to take that away from him, I'd do anything to ensure that he was happy... anything at all.

I ran to his side as he collapsed to the floor crying and screaming out. When he looked up, his eyes met mine and he yelled at me in anger,

"You shouldn't be here! You're supposed to be smarter than this! You can't just run into a lightning storm, Y/N!"

"If you don't want me to run into a lightning storm then don't run into a lightning storm, Zuko. I can't let anything happen to you!"

"Why do you even care so much?"

"Because, Zuko, I love you!"

I yelled past the sound of the thunder and Zuko's eyes widened but I kept my firm gaze on him.

We were sat in the pouring rain, both drenched from head to toe. He stayed silent, I couldn't help but wonder if I'd ruined everything we had as friends and broke my stare that I had held at him,

"Look, Zuko, I don't know why I just told you that, you clearly-"

I was interrupted by Zuko grabbing my face and crashing his lips into mine. My eyes widened before I closed them and lost myself in the kiss, Zuko moved his hands down to my waist and pulled my body in as I wrapped my arms around his neck.

I felt his smile against my lips, before I pulled back and took his hand, pulling him from the ground,

"Zuko, lets go back, please."

He complied and jumped onto the ostrich-horse before reaching his hand out to help me onto the back.

We rode down the mountains and back to the abandoned village and settled down for the night, I slept in a different abandoned house to Zuko and Iroh, but half way through the night I heard someone creep into my room. I jumped back and assumed my stance ready to attack before I felt someone grab my wrist and pin them by my sides at the wall behind me.

The strong grip on my wrists was then accompanied by a soft kiss on my lips followed by a raspy whisper that sent shivers down my spine,

"I thought you could use some company."

He then began to plant kisses all around my neck and jaw.

"Z-Zuko? What are you doing?"

He let go of my wrists and caressed my cheek with one of his hands before softly kissing my lips again, I let out a soft moan as I returned the kiss.
