Alex awoke the next morning happy to be in a bed. She and Jason had managed to finish unpacking and placing all of the furniture yesterday. Nick had offered to help but mostly just spent the next hour just flirting with Jason, before receiving a phone call and leaving.

"Kids! Breakfast in 15 minutes!" Grace's voice sounded from downstairs. Today would mark the beginning of her final year of high school. Alex yawned and rubbed her eyes. Despite being exhausted last night, she had trouble falling asleep. Xandara kept nervously pacing around her mind but refusing to explain her anxiety to Alex.

"Are you calm yet?" Alex asked as she began to search through her still packed clothes for something to wear to school.

"Yes. No. I don't know," Xandara whined still pacing. "I can feel that something is going to happen today."

Alex paused holding a black Panic! at the Disco shirt, "Good or bad?"

"I don't know!" Xandara huffed. "Just something."

Alex shrugged and started to change pulling on the P!ATD shirt. "Guess we'll have to wait and see."

"No! Wait! Dress nice! Dress...sexy. "

"A) since when have you cared what I wear? B) I am not dressing sexy on my first day a new school. I don't even know how I would do that. Think of the standards and expectations that would set."

"Wear black pants and white button-up shirt with half the buttons undone, showing off a black lacy bra. And a black blazer held over your shoulder. Have your hair slicked back." Xandara panted. "Yeah. Yeah. Do that."

"I am not going to look like KPop boyband member for you. Are you ok? Do I need to take you to vet?" Alex asked bewildered at her wolf's odd behavior.

"Don't be ridiculous. A KPop star would have all the buttons undone."

Five minutes later they finally agreed on Alex wearing a white dress shirt (with all but the last button done) and black slacks. With a black leather jacket and a black snapback with a white "Assassin's Creed" logo. With that Xandara was satisfied and Alex headed downstairs.

Jason, dressed much more casually, raised an eyebrow at Alex as she entered the kitchen.

"Did I miss the memo on dressing up?" he asked.

"What? No! I just, uh, felt like wearing this," Alex stammered.

"Well I think you both look nice," Grace exclaimed from the kitchen island. After finishing her breakfast in a couple bites, she continued. "I have to head to the high school now and meet with my new boss. You two better head out here in the next thirty minutes."

"What about the twins? They start later than us." Jason asked.

"I'll drop them off at their new school," Emma explained as she entered the kitchen giving her wife a peck on the cheek. "I have a job interview at the hospital this morning anyway. They need a new head of cardiology." Emma was highly respected cardiologist in their old town and now it seemed she could finally get the promotion that she never got at her old job.

Thirty minutes after Grace left, Jason and Alex headed toward their new school. They were driving in Jason's eighteenth birthday present, an old Ford pickup truck.

After parking in the school lot, Alex slid out of the vehicle and sniffed the air. She could smell a number of different werewolves as well as other supernatural beings.

"Come on, we've still got to get our schedules," Jason called as he headed toward the front of the school building.
