It was Thursday morning, the air was crisp and there was a slight breeze, signaling it was nearly autumn. As Eve walked through the campus, her arm linked with Julia's, she couldn't control the excited buzz that coursed through her.

Eve has always looked forward to the first day of school. Ever since she was a little girl she had been eager to learn and be around others her age. She was also very pleased when she learned that Julia was in her first class, which happened to be sociology.

"I'm so excited! We're early, we ate breakfast, and we look amazing!"
Julia gushes while squeezing Eve's arm playfully.

Eve couldn't help but smile in agreement. Although Julia had originally been annoyed with Eve this morning when she woke her up two hours before their first class, she was quick to forgive her when Eve explained that she wanted their first day to go perfectly.

That included a healthy breakfast and according to Julia, 'killer outfits'.

Eve was dressed in a deep red turtleneck with a blue and red plaid skirt. She allowed her hair to fall loose over her shoulders. According to Julia, Eve looked hot.

Upon arriving to the large building in which there sociology class was being held, Eve immediately noticed students in every direction. Some stood about, talking with one another, where as some rushed to their classes in fear of being tardy.

"Oh look there's Kate! Kate! Over here!"
Julia called out excitedly towards the red Hess girl that was walking this way.

Eve briefly remembered meeting Kate at the mixer last night, her memory was clouded with Dean Harrington and the pudding she spilled on him.

"Hey guys! What class are you heading to?"
Kate smiled happily towards Eve and Julia.

Eve could hear Julia responding in her usual cheerful manner. But she was distracted by the crowds of students suddenly parting like the Red Sea in the corridor. She recalled witnessing this happening last night when Dean Harrington walked through the ballroom.

Perhaps...

"Eve? Are you listening? Kate is in our sociology class!
Julia squealed.

Before Eve could respond, Kate and Julia's attention was caught but the students parting as well.

"Oh my gosh it's them!"
Kate whispered excitedly.

Before Eve could respond, her attention was caught by three men that strode down the center of the corridor.

She immediately recognized Dean Harrington, he stood in the middle in between the other two men beside him. Just as the night before he looked breathtaking. Eve couldn't control the fluttering of her heart when she looked at him.

All three men kept their heads up and their eyes completely forward, not sparing any students a mere glance.

The man on the left of Dean Harrington caught Eve's attention due to the cigarette he was smoking. It was completely improper to smoke inside of a building, especially a school.

As the man drew the cigarette from his lips, Eve noticed the tattoos that were etched into his hands. She could not make out what they were exactly but she found them very appealing. She had to admit the man with the cigarette was quite handsome. He had thick brown hair that was combed back to perfection.

He too, looked older due to the wrinkles around his eyes, like Dean Harrington, he was tall and looked to be very muscular under his suit.

Eve immediately felt a sense of recognition upon looking at the man but she couldn't put her finger on where she knew him from.

Adverting her eyes to the specimen to the right of Dean Harrington, Eve felt a chill rush down her spine at the sight of the man dressed in an all black suit.

His hair was jet black, and completely out of his face allowing his masculine beauty to be shown. Unlike his colleagues, his eyes were a light blue but they held an odd intensity in them. He was beautiful, there was no denying that.

But Eve could tell from predator look in his eyes that he probably was not the nicest man.

"That's the Trilogy. To the right is Professor Isaac Lenox, he teaches psychology. On the left is Professor William Archibald, he teaches literature and get this, he's British!"
Kate whispered to Julia and Eve.

Eve gasped at her words,
"William Archibald? As in the author?"

Julia raised a curious brow,
"You know him?"

"Of course I know him! I mean of him! He's only one of the greatest authors of our time! And I managed to get into his 'The Art of Literature' course. It's a class for sophomores but writing and books have always been my-"

Eve's words were cut off by Kate and Julia shushing her. She was confused at first but when she returned her attention back to the Trilogy, she realized they were only a mere few feet away from them.

"Quick! How does my hair look?"
Julia wined while running her fingers over her ponytail.

"As if they're going to even look at us."
Kate sighed, the disappointment was obvious in her voice.

Eve dropped her attention towards her shoes, intimidated by men that radiated nothing but power and success.

It wasn't until the cigarette smoke reached her nostrils when she looked up. As the Trilogy passed she and her friends, William Archibald looked to his left, causing him and Eve to lock eyes.

Eve couldn't help but chew at her bottom lip with anxiety. To her, it seemed like everything was going in slow motion as Professor Archibald, one of her favorites writers, her idol, looked Eve up and down before something extraordinary happened.

The corners of his mouth drew up and formed into a sly smile. He turned his head back to look forward and continued walking with Dean Harrington and Professor Lenox.

It wasn't until the men were out of sight when Eve broke out of the trance she was in.

"Holy shit! Did you see that? Professor Archibald totally smiled at me!"
Julia wrapped her arms around Eve and Kate while cheesing from ear to ear.

Eve couldn't help but frown while she pondered the thought that perhaps her idol hadn't sent a smile her way.

But to Julia.

"Yeah yeah whatever, come on guys we're gonna be late and I want us to sit together."
Kate began walking away in the direction of their sociology class.

Eve did not notice Julia had started walking away too until they called out to her,
"Come on Eve!"

With one last glance towards the direction of where the Trilogy went, Eve felt something inside her stir. She didn't know what it was exactly but something called her to those men like a moth to a flame.

Although this did not surprise Eve, her biggest secret was her attraction to older men, the daddy type.

Something she prayed would never come to light.
