Alvares.

After an exhausting day of training and meetings I wanted to sleep, though I know I should've taken Axel's offer for dinner at his house, I'd rather have grilled cheese and sauce, head to bed.

But as I'm walking toward my house the familiar scent of a feisty little thing hit me, he was sitting on my porch in a world of his own, nose literally in a book.

Cute.

I clear my throat which startled him, he drops the book and falls off the hammock in the process. "Ouch." He is always so taken by books.

"Are you going to help me up." He whines and I pick up his book, walk over to him pull him up and throw his over my shoulder.

"Come on, you're making me feel small." I chuckle as he pouts. Opening the door and banging it with my foot to close, I walk over to the kitchen island and place him there.

I check him for any scars or pain which makes his cheeks red, flustered looks cute on him. "Heathen I'm a wolf and I think you've groped my ass enough for today." I groan and reluctantly pull down his shirt.

"Thank you, I came to have dinner with you, I was home alone and bored." It was okay having him here I liked the company for a change.

Aries wasn't loud, so it was okay. "Can we make spaghetti and meatballs, also I want a fruity garden salad." I only nod and place him on the floor.

"I heard you had meetings all day today how did that go." I only gave him a look but he knew, I always wonder how he knows when I don't say anything.

"Fifty-fifty huh, at least you did your first alliance in four years." I look at him again and just like that he knows I was about to say I didn't need help.

"I'm not diminishing your strength or ability to protect us but alliances are a good way to create friendships and when there is a threat from this pack hiding in their territory or in no man's land, they can easily be found." He was right.

"Thank you for knowing I'm right." I resisted the urge to roll my eye. "My sister is visiting tomorrow want to meet her?"I knew he would light up then it hit me, my sister and Aries in the same room might not be a good idea.

"Yes I do, what's she like, does she like books, or coking, or both." I was doomed, though I would love to see my sister again.

She told me the Ryeland pack moved from the North to St Maine, so she would be able to fly from Sandbury to the nearest city here which is Algiers then drive the rest of the way which is a few hours.

"Youll know tomorrow." He pouts it's cute. "Fine don't say anything, let's make food." I chuckle as he tries to be mad at me.

"Spaghetti is done." He announces and I help him make the rest, it was refreshing cooking with someone, actually having someone here was refreshing.

I've been so used to be alone that I've forgotten the feeling of having someone who would actually take time to just do a simple thing as cook with me.

"Why are you smiling?" He pokes my abs and I give him my undivided attention. "Come on tell me, why you're smiling." I wink at him making him blush.

It's still so cute watching him flustered and unsure of what to do. We make the rest of the meal and his salad. Which I'm not sure I made correctly.

"So I will be here in the morning to help you clean up this place a bit, and don't glare at me, you know you need to restock your cabinets." I keep glaring at him with less intensity.

"I told you to stop glaring, we need to go shopping too, so morning I will be here." I had no say in this did I. I ask myself.

Aries chuckles as he takes a bite of his salad. "It's funny how you thought you had a choice." I hate when knows at times.

"Heathen why do you never talk about your sister or family." I've never told anyone besides Axel and Danny, they were the only ones who know about my history.

"Because my sister is the only family I have, well the one I consider family."

"That's alright, I lost my grandmother too, she was the only family I had until I moved here." This was the first time he had opened up to me about this.

I wondered if Aries was masking pain as I was, I found myself wanting to know more about him, he seemed like he had no one and that got to me.

"What was she like?" His smile could melt ice when I asked that. "She was headstrong, didn't put up with nonsense, and always made sure you knew you were loved."

"She was a wonderful person, huh." He nods vigorously. "She was and I miss her every day." I knew that kind of loss, I knew it was painful and often at times unbearable if we don't accept moving on.

"Look at us being sad when we made a great dinner, the salad needed vinegar by the way." I knew I forgot something in that salad. He bursts out laughing.

"At least you know not to forget next time, but it's still pretty good." I nod and we continue eating dinner.

Somehow the feisty little thing was worming his way into my life and it's not an unwanted intrusion, maybe this time I wouldn't be hurt.

Just maybe letting him won't end up with me getting hurt. I was alpha but I wasn't emotionless. "I'm so full, I think I ate too much." I chuckle when he pats his belly.

We clear the table, and the rest of the night we watch some weird documentary. "Time for me to go home." Somehow in the mix of enjoying the company and food, we both forgot Aries had to go back home.

I walk upstairs, grab a sweater which I'm sure will look like a dress on him and come back to pull it over his head. "I feel like I'm being eaten by clothes, it's so big." He looked delectable in the sweater.

"I won't be bringing this back tomorrow." He says and I nod,  I might have preferred he keep it anyway. I walk him to his house, we wave at the pack members we pass by.

"Evening Alpha Heathen, hey Aries." Axel had a smirk on his face. I won't hear the end of this.

"So what are you two doing out at night, all alone." I groan knowing what he's hinting at. "Oh, we decided to take a walk and he was taking me home as well. "

"Okay then." Axel says with a smile and his eyes not leaving the sweater Aries was wearing, he winks at him and nods to me.

"Good Night, Axel." I say sternly and laid a hand on Aries's back leading him away from my perverted best friend and beta.

"Good night." Aries chuckled and we continued with our walk toward his house. He was like me in that, alone in his home. I guess he would be bored.

"Goodnight Heathen, I had a good time with you tonight, though next time we are not watching a documentary, that sucks." Thank God he knows that.

"It was nice having company." He smiles and stood on his toes leaving a kiss on my cheek. He hurriedly goes into his house leaving me stunned.

>I like him.< It's been a while since I talked to my wolf.

>You think so bud<

>Yes, warm and pretty<

>Glad to know we're on the same page bud<

I walk back to my house with a smile. He kissed me.
