He took off his glasses and ran his hand through his hair. "Are you that surprised to see me here?", he asked, a small smirk playing on his lips.

He looked just as hot and sexy as at Soo's party when I first met him. His hair fell smoothly backwards and his angelic traits were a bit warped by his sassy smile.

"I-I don't know", I admitted and tried to get myself back together. His gaze laid on me and I felt how my cheeks heated. What is going on? Why is he making me feel that way?

I averted my eyes and gave my best to push the thought away that I must look like a tomato. I looked back up at him but this time more confident.

"I guess it's the glasses", I said trying to sound casual, "you just look so different." He chuckled and lifted his hand to regard his glasses.

"Well, I only use them to read and drive", he explained and attached them to his shirt, "normally I don't need them."

I nodded still feeling uncomfortable. Maybe it was the fact that I almost slept with him that made me feel so flustered.

"So what are you doing here?", I asked stupidly and mentally slapped myself. There was not much to do in a library.

"I was doing some research for the upcoming exams", he explained and suddenly I realised I didn't know who exactly and how old he was. I assumed he was just as old as me and in high school.

"Are you studying?", I asked once again hoping I wasn't too noisy. But somehow I really wanted to know who he was.

"Yeah, I'm studying medicine in the second semester", he told me and my jaw dropped. I don't know what I expected him to study but I was just too surprised. He was smarter than I thought he was.

"Wow, that's.. that's impressive", was the only thing I could say.

"If you say so", he said again smirking but somehow I found it cute.

"How old are you then?"

"I'm nineteen"

I didn't know what to answer and nodded. Wow, this is so awkward. I looked down at the book in my hands and whipped on my toes.

"Thanks again", I thanked him patting on the back of the book.

"You're welcome", he answered.

I didn't want to be too loud since we were still in a library and we might disturb others with our chatting.

"Okay... I'll get going then", I said lingering a bit longer where I stood, in case he wanted to say something else.

I turned around to go down the aisle and borrow the three books in my arms. I took three steps before he called my name out and I stopped in my tracks.

"Y/N?"

"Yes?", I said and turned back around.

"I'm sorry for what happened at Soojung's party", he told me.

"Um.. you don't have to apologise. You haven't done anything wrong", I said a bit confused.

"Yeah, I just felt a bit guilty because I didn't know you were Jungkook's girlfriend", he said with sad eyes.

Was it sadness? Or regret? I couldn't tell what it was but his eyes weren't sparkling like before.

"No. No, that's not true. I'm not his... ", I explained once again, "I'm not his girlfriend." He furrowed his eyebrows and he was confused.

"But why...? I didn't want it to happen again", he said trailing off. His eyes were glazed and focused on something in the distance.

"Ah, nevermind. I'm just glad nothing happened."

I frowned and asked myself what the heck he was talking about.

Happen again?

He softly shook his head and looked back at me. "And by the way, I got your number", he added showing off his boxy smile.

I blushed and remembered how I put it on a note for him. "Yeah", I said embarrassed, "you can text me if you want." The words were out before I could stop them. Damn it.

"Sure", he said, his flirty smile appearing, "maybe we can hang out someday."

"I'd love that", I answered trying again not to sound desperate, "alright, I'll see you around." He nodded and I quickly left the aisle before anything else could embarrass me.

I was glad when the fresh air outside hit my face and cooled it down. He had an effect on me and I didn't know why. I was completely unfocused and took a few seconds before I knew which way I had to walk back.

I didn't know what to think about him.. or the whole situation. He apologised for something he didn't do and he mentioned that something has happened between him and Jungkook.

And apart from the fact that he has blown my mind and I was pretty flustered by him, I know I had still feelings for Jungkook and I couldn't just throw them away, but this was a new feeling. He was older, smart, absolutely handsome and a huge flirt.

I closed the front door behind me and wanted to go upstairs into my room to put the books away when my mother called me from the kitchen.

"Y/N?"

"Yes, mum", I answered.

"Can you come in here quickly?", she asked and I turned to walk into the kitchen.

She was standing in the kitchen forming cookie batter into small heaps and placing them on a baking tray. A strand of her hair disentangled from her bun and fell into her face. She looked so beautiful and she doesn't even try.

She turned around and smiled warmly at me. "Where were you?", she asked but not in a controlling way, but interested.

"At the library", I answered, "is something wrong?"

I was just wondering because normally she wouldn't seek the dialogue with me like this.

She washed her hands and dried them off with a towel. "Well, lately I'm a bit worried about you", she admitted.

"Why? I'm okay, mum", I said giving her a smile.

"I heard you fighting with Jungkook yesterday", she explained searching my eyes, "and it sounded serious."

I blushed and shook my head. "No, it's nothing. Thank you, mum, but you don't have to worry about me", I reassured her.

She sighed nodding and walked over to me pulling me into her arms. "You come to me if you need anything, right?", she asked holding me tightly.

"Of course", I said breathing in her sweet scent, "I love you, mum."
