"Hey Alice nice job" Silas compliments Alice. After our training session. This has become a regular thing these past couple months.
"Thank you" she says blushing slightly.
"Do you have popcorn on Hogwarts or do I have to get butterbeer?" I ask will ignoring the love birds.
"It's called idris" Will says annoyed. "No no I get to call it what I was. Geronimo back me up" I say to him I feel Alice and Silas gaze on me.
"Yes ma'am. It is called Hogwarts after the famous book and movie series Harry Potter" Geronimo day backing me up.
"Suck it up Will. It's built like hogwarts." I say referring the barrier.
"You're the most annoying person I know" he say rubbing his forehead. Call me rude for insulting but hey I get to say what I want.
"Yeah yeah willy honka show me to your best food" I say dragging him along.
"Wait beth!" Alice says. I groan. "What is it fruit ninja?"
"This is silas my..friend." She says introducing him.
"I'm Elizabeth Cruz" I say taking his hand.
He furrows his eyes in confusion. "Cruz?"
"Yeah dude. Are you hard of hearing" I sign the little I know of asl.
"No. That's not a shadowhunter name" he points out. "It's mundane"
"Well I'm not exactly a shadowhunter. I don't accept it" I say truthfully Alice frowns at my statement.
"You're a herondale no?" He asks "you should use you're honorable name." He says.
"I do. I use Cruz. Herondale is the last name my biological family uses." I say now a little sour. "I am not a herondale."
"Beth yes you are" Alice tries to but in.
"No I am not. I apologize for the confusion. It's not about fitting in or acceptance. I truly do not want it" I say.
"I am Elizabeth María Cruz." I say in a heavy Spanish accent.
"I was adopted and my mother is in the mundane world. My world." I clarify.
"Let's go will" I say. "You're spanish?" He asks
"I grew up with spanish parents" I say. "I am adopted."
"Obviously" he says.
