Thirty One

It was day two of our trip and it was as if the outside world didn't exist. It felt great to just relax, but I was even happier to see JK be this laid back. I don't think I've ever seen him sit still for this long. He works so hard and does so much for other people that he deserves to check out.

We decided to curl up in bed to watch a movie after lunch. It was one that we'd both seen, so we weren't too invested in it. We were simply content with being lazy together and having no agenda. It wasn't long until I heard slow and steady breaths coming from beside me, and I turned to see him sound asleep. A nap sounded great, but try as I might, I couldn't fall asleep. So I decided to go outside for some fresh air. I really wanted to absorb these beautiful mountain views as much as I could while we were here.

I quietly stepped outside and slid the door closed, careful not to wake JK. I leaned my elbows on the ledge of the balcony and took in a deep sigh of the clean air. It had been cloudy all morning, and even darker clouds had started rolling in. It was supposed to rain this afternoon all the way through tomorrow, but I didn't mind. I loved the rain.

I thought about how this trip could be a true test for us. Granted, it was only for five days, but being completely alone with someone like this could make or break a relationship. You can learn a lot about a person by being in such close quarters. But deep down, I knew that we would be fine. We'd been dealing with much bigger things, and all of that only brought us closer.

I crossed my arms on the ledge and looked up. The clouds continued to become more ominous but I didn't hear any thunder, so I wasn't in a hurry to go back inside.

I heard the door open behind me but didn't turn around. I almost immediately felt JK's chest against my back and his hands reached forward to rest on the ledge on either side of my arms.

He pressed a kiss against my hair just behind my ear. "Why do I keep waking up to an empty bed?"

I chuckled. "I tried to nap but couldn't sleep." I felt a raindrop land on my hand.

JK brought one hand down to my waist while the other pulled my hair off of my shoulder. "But I want to play with you."

I closed my eyes and tilted my head to the side, feeling his mouth on the crook of my neck. "Sounds like the playtime we had when we first woke up wasn't enough."

He lightly sucked on a patch of skin, and I felt him smile when I quietly moaned. "I could never have too much playtime with you, baby girl."

I throbbed at his words, and more raindrops started to fall around us. I looked up at him when he spun me around. My tongue ran along my bottom lip as I smoothed a hand up the center of his chest, feeling the soft fabric of his shirt beneath my fingers. "Does Daddy want to take his baby girl back to bed?"

JK shook his head, looking at my mouth. "Right here is just fine." His hands bunched up the hem of the shirt I was wearing, which fell around mid-thigh.

I sighed when he leaned down to lick and suck at my neck again, knowing it was a spot that always got a reaction out of me. The rain moved in quickly and was falling steadily now, and it felt cool against my warm skin.

He rested his hands on my outer thighs and smoothed them upward, stopping when he didn't feel anything else underneath my shirt. He looked at me with a raised eyebrow. "Looks like I'm not the only one who is always ready for playtime today."

I smirked and shrugged, watching some water droplets start to form at the tips of his hair. "There's no point in wearing them while we're here if you'll only be taking them off all the time."

JK groaned in response as he deeply kissed me, continuing to move his hands along my thighs. He brought one hand down between them and didn't pull back right away, making it my turn to groan against him. He ran his fingers through my folds, causing me to open my legs a little more for him. He moved them slowly and broke the kiss with a faint smile. "I love the fact that you're always ready to go."
