Chapter 14

| A somewhat not so serious talk |

I thoughts kisses were meant to be long, to make you feel breathless, dizzy and lightheaded. Kisses were supposed to make you feel like you've transcend, that every nerves in your body has come alive while your mind feels like it's massaged by countless hands.

I think that's what the story says about kisses, how it's magical and just out of the world.

But in my opinion, kisses are normal, it's a part of our lives. It's bound to happen, something that is inevitable between two lovers, a kiss that could be slow or not.

Don't get me wrong, we already kissed, but that was years ago and that's when I was still a teen. A half child and half adult, thinking that she knew the world when in fact she haven't experienced what life truly offers for her.

The second time was, let's just say it wasn't really good to remember. It's something that has ended our attachment, you can say it's a parting gift, something that is bound to never happen to the both of us again.

So imagine my surprise when he kissed me, I wouldn't say kiss maybe a peck and leaned backward. His hands still gently holding my face as he looked at me with pure silence.

"Ming Chen?" I squeaked, still unused at his solemn eyes as he continued to look at me.

I grew nervous as time pass by, thoughts filled my head and I couldn't stop them.

Am I not a good kisser? Does my breath stink? Does he not love me anymore? Did he think that I'm too easy or-

"I can't kiss you"

"Why?" I ask, pain laced my voice as I look down, afraid to let him see my tears clouding my eyes.

"Feng Mian" he repeated once more and nudge me but I didn't look up. Then he utter a sigh and my heart just stop and for a moment, I still my breath.

"I can't kiss you because I still haven't ask you to be my girlfriend and I won't ask and take advantage of your weakness. I want to court you first, you deserve it"

My eyes snapped back at him and couldn't stop my actions when I dive towards his embrace. I heard an oof and a laugh before he tightly held me in his arms.

Ah, what a blissful life.

"Now, now, our dearest Gongzhu, may I have the permission to court you? You can only say yes" he gave me that wolfish grin he always show whenever he thinks of something mischievous.

"Yes goudan, you have my permission" his face blackens while I giggled at his reaction before he smiled helplessly.

"Ai, our dearest Gongzhu is really mischievous. Don't worry, your man will discipline you"

His words definitely have double meaning and I couldn't help but blush at him. This rogue! He never failes to dampen the romantic mood!

After some cuddling and some hitting- don't be green minded people- I happen to see him looking at me for a couple of times but he never did do anything.

"What?"

"Well..." He hesitate a bit before taking a deep breath and said. "So...whose the guy you...you hugged at the convenience store?"

I froze and for a second, I feel a bit guilty and funny, still, my heart kinda flutters from his jealousy.

"That someone is from a blind date and no- we're not dating. We decided to be friends" his face continued to blacken more I couldn't help but laugh at his face. "Well? Did our Goudan drank some vinegar?" I teased as he clears his throat before attacking me.

"Well, you also said that I have a girlfriend- which I clearly don't. So...what makes you think that, hm?"

Well, I think I just lifted a rock and smashed it on my own foot, great.

"Well...I called you and um...I heard a woman's voice. I was wrong I know! It's...it's Linjie who answered the call and I thought.." I stopped since he now knew the reason behind my outrage.

"Fool, the two of us are fools" he lightly smiled as he lifted his hands and caressed my head before whispering to my ears.

"You're the only woman that I'll love for the rest of my life, Feng-er"

I returned home after Ming Chen was taken by the ear by the one and only tough assistant, Linjie. She was screaming at him since he's late for like an hour, now I feel guilty by it since it's because of me.

"It's fine, he's always like this, no worries" Linjie smiled as she took Ming Chen away from his seat.

I can only smile at their close relationship before going out but then Linjie stopped me.

"Let him leave first and after ten minutes, you can go. We can't let our guard down since he's still a public figure, a very famous one at that. Sorry Mian Mian, I don't want your life to be affected"

Oh, I clearly forgot, he's an actor. He's someone that is known to everyone, someone idolizes him and that someone will find every information out there and that includes his love life.

He's just, Ming Chen, someone that I knew from the past and is trying to get to know now.

"Thank you Linjie" she smiled at me and patted my head before leaving.

I did what she told me to and leave after ten minute passed. It didn't take long for me to reach my home and shower before putting my pajamas on, I was ready.

I took my phone and waited for the show to pop out, it's already eight. The show provide online streaming so I just did that and wait for the opening to finish.

Then the mc introduce the guests, there were three girls and two boys, all of them are famous but I didn't know that. I was just looking at him the entire time, my eyes trained on everything he did before the show ended.

Before I sleep, I formed an account on Weibo and search for him before I click the add friend button. After that, I got on my bed and sleep, still thinking of him.

Ah, I think I'm acting like one of those fools who is drunk from love.

I smiled on my sleep, oh, I just dreamt of him. Seriously, I think I'm falling deeper and deeper for him.

Let's just wish it won't crash that easily.

Notes:

• Gōngzhǔ means princess
• Goudan, I often see it in cnovels and I think it's translate as dog egg. (Correct me if I'm wrong)
• Lifting a rock and smashing it on his/her own foot, means shooting yourself basically. It's like you wanted to hurt someone but in turn you were the one who was hurt.
