Chapter 82: Wasted True Potential

Zane wakes up, gasping, shouts in surprise as Jay stares into his face beside his bed

"Jay!" Zane continues gasping for breath "I just had a terrible nightmare!"

"Oh, I'm afraid it's not a dream, Zane. It's real, Cole's about to beat your high score" Jay tells him

Zane shakes his head "Not that. I had a nightmare, something terrible is going to happen. There was an evil serpent with a weapon, and it zapped me with it, and there was an ice castle, and a dragon, and a—"

"Shh shh, relax, Zane. It was just a dream" Jay inturrupts

Zane points, emphasizing "It was a vision!"

"Zane, when was the last time one of your visions actually came true?" Jay questions

"they all came true" Aria says walking in

"Uh, like which?" Jay asks

Zane looks annoyed "Like the vision about the Titanium Dragon, and the vision before that about the Green Ninja and the Purple Ninja, and the time before that about the—"

Jay dismisses his explanations with a wave "Okay, okay, but this is different" He opens the shoji door "Now seriously, Cole is about to beat your Lava Zombie score and I don't want to miss it, so come on!" he leaves

"When do you think it'll happen?" Aria asks Zane

"I'm not sure but we must be on the look out" Zane warns as he walks to the door "might as well humor the others"

Aria sighs "What's so impressive about video games?"

The two walk out, the Ninja watch as Cole plays Lava Zombies.

"Get the guy on the left!" Lloyd shouts and Cole smashes the zombie on the left, then to the right.

"Cole, you're on fiyah!" Kai shouts

Cole smashes the last zombie and the game finishes.

"Oh, you did it!" Nya shouts

"Woohoo!" Cole cheers

Aria covered her ears

"Yeah! High score!" Lloyd shouts

Kai laughs "Haha that was awesome!

"Woohoo! That was Zombie King!" Cole shouts

"Alright, Cole!" Lloyd shouts

The Ninja continue cheering.

Zane smiles "Congratulations, Cole. That is quite an achievement"

"Thanks, buddy. No hard feelings?" Cole questions

Zane nods "Of course not"

Cole sighs and rubs his arm "Good, because my arm is pretty sore"

"I'm sore just from watching" Nya comments

"Know what I'm thinking?" Kai smirks

The Ninja jump up and cheer "Hot tub!!"

"You've got to be kidding me" Aria says as she unplugs her ears "I'm out"

Aria walks out of the bounty. She walks through the woods alone and sighs. She stood in place and breathed in as the wind around her blows. Only out here could she be at peace.

"Enjoying the peace?" Wu asks walking up to her

Aria smiles "yes, out here I feel more in touch with the realm then inside"

Wu smiles and stands next to her, he closed his eye and enjoyed the flow of the wind like Aria was.

Wu chuckles "I remember when we first started out you only joined to stay with Lloyd, but now you are truly a ninja"
