Bridge to Hogwarts

Draco felt his throat seize up in panic as the Dementors closed in on Harry, he could only look over to him in helplessness.

"Harry-", Draco could only weakly choked out before one of them had gotten to him. "Don't go...!", he begged.

The Slytherin could see Harry's translucent soul being sucked from within him. Time slowed down, as if the world was mocking Draco for not being able to anything except to pathetically watch the scene unfold in front of him.

"Expecto Patronum.", a voice commanded from behind him as a doe leaped towards Harry after what felt like an hour.

The same Dementors that had fought over Harry had been chased away.

Pushing himself to his limits, Draco fought back up and ran as fast as his injured limbs could take him to Harry's side. He dropped beside the Gryffindor's unconscious body.

"No, Harry, wake up, wake up!", Draco gripped his hand to realise it felt like touching ice. The Slytherin felt like his heart had just stopped beating, as if his entire world had fallen apart.

And it did.

Draco used both of his hands in an attempt to warm Harry's hands, in hopes that maybe he could wake up. "Harry, don't leave me!", the tears that Draco had forced back finally fell.

"Draco.", a voice called out.

The Slytherin couldn't help but to curl himself forward, burying his face into Harry's chest while uncontrollably sobbing. "Wake up, Harry... I'm sorry I left you..", Draco wept.

"Draco,", the same voice who created the patronus repeated.

The Slytherin didn't hear it, he couldn't hear anything nor did he pay attention to his surroundings. Draco's attention was only on Harry, and Harry alone.

"Zabini, Parkinson, escort him to the Hospital Wing.", the voice stated calmly.

The next moment, Draco could feel two pairs of arms pulling him away from Harry. He tried to scream, fight and struggle, but he didn't have the mental nor physical capacity to escape the two who was hauling him off from Harry.

Pulling Draco away from Harry was as good as taking away his reason for existence. Within the past few weeks, the Gryffindor had became everything to Draco. He was Draco's world, and it was like everything had shattered.

As if by magic, Draco felt his eyes and body drop and his world eventually faded into pitch darkness.

Hospital Wing

The Slytherin's eyes flew open in anxiety, hoping everything was just a dream. He looked at the scenery around him that he was all too familiar with.

Blaise was sitting while napping on his chair on the side of Draco's bed with a bedside table, on which two phones laid. The blonde continued to scan his surroundings. Pulling off his covers, he was bandaged in several places, including his legs, torso and arms.

A soft ring came from one of the phones. Curious, Draco looked at the message.

"How do we tell Draco that Harry is gone?"

Draco wasn't surprised, he wasn't shocked. That was his guess, and his guess was confirmed.

The blonde neatly placed the phone back then swung his legs over the edge of the bed and stood up. He needed to take a breather. So he left the Hospital Wing with his wand, hoping his legs would take him somewhere where he could be alone.

Astronomy Tower

It was a miracle Draco didn't get caught while getting here.

Sitting on the edge of the tower, Draco reminisced on the memories of Harry. His confession, their date, that brief kiss that felt like fireworks.

For some reason, he chanted, "Expecto Patronum.".

Like a joke, a familiar stag appeared in front of his face, in all of it's glory. Draco couldn't help but to laugh dryly until tears started running down his face again. The world is a fucking joke, every single thing was against him.

But maybe...

Maybe he could see Harry again in their next life.

Draco pushed himself to stand up using the support of the railings of the Astronomy Tower as the stag continued staring at its creator, as if awaiting a command.

"Goodbye, Pansy, Hermione, Blaise, Ron. Thanks for helping me, and I'm sorry.", he smiled to himself and the stag galloped away to the structures below.

"I'll see you soon, Harry.", Draco muttered as he threw himself over the edge.
