Tourney and Hormonal Teenagers

Later on, I was watching tourney practice, I do often since I like sitting on the bleachers and observing. I noticed Jay and Carlos were down there, I'm glad they were finding a positive way to expel their energy. 

Then one last person ran out of the dressing room, looks like Bens forced all of the boys to try tourney out because Harry was out there too. The coach had to call Carlos from inside the kill zone and he was just being a bit of an airhead. Then the coach sectioned them into two teams. When the teams were announced I noticed Harry smirk and point at Jay,

"Ye're done"

I saw him mouth to Jay. He put on his helmet and Jay did too and got into position.

May I say it was the most vicious game of tourney I've ever seen.

While the Auradon kids tried to play normally and Carlos just tried to survive, Jay and Harry went at it, I could hear the growling from where I sat. 

They bashed each other, smashed into each other, hit each other with their shields, everything under the sun. I've never been interested in tourney, but I couldn't rip my eyes away from this match even if I wanted to. Then Harry swept Jay's legs from under him and took the ball and began to hit it through the kill zone, dodging everything that tried to stop him all before the goalie literally moved out of the way in order to escape Harry's rage and let him score. Then he ran at the goalie for a second and growled at him before laughing and throwing his helmet off. Jay did too and glared at him,

"Oh Jay, it seems that ye've really lost yer touch, or maybe ye never even had a touch!"

He said with a maniacal laugh. I took a deep breath as I slowly tore my eyes from Harry to see Ben slowly stand, obviously shaken from being taken down by Jay and Chad could barely move from being obliterated by Harry. 

The coach yelled for Harry and Jay to go come over to him, I didn't hear what was said after that but Harry was smirking the whole time so I assumed it was good. I checked my watch, I had to start heading to the next class but I really didn't want to. 

I began to walk down the bleachers nonetheless. As I did I felt those eyes on me again which made me turn around, seeing both Jay and Harry looking at me. I waved and smiled, Harry shoved Jay so he stumbled and had to catch himself on Carlos, all so he could be the only one to wave at back at me. I chuckled and rolled my eyes at him before walking away.

As I walked to my next class I had to stop by my locker, which is when Audrey walked up to me,

"Hey, Bri!"

She happily chirped,

"Hey Aud"

I said, matching her tone a little bit,

"Do you wanna sit with me and the girls today? I overheard some of the VKs after tourney practice talking about you and I just want to make sure we girls are watching out for each other you know?"

I furrowed my brow in interest,

"What did you overhear?"

"Well, they were both going back and forth. One of them, the pirate, saying something about how at least he could get your attention or something and the other one was just going on about going soft, whatever that means"

I chuckled and rolled my eyes,

"While I appreciate it, Audrey, I think I'm alright. The pirate and I are friends of sorts and the other one, Jay, has been trying to catch my eye for a minute"

She crossed her arms and changed to that bittersweet expression she gives when she throws shade at someone,

"You sure? I mean they are from the Isle you know. They could be dangerous, not to mention that girl Mal. I don't trust her"

I smiled and shut my locker door,

"Don't worry Audrey, neither do I"

I said as I pivoted on my heels and walked away. I sadly didn't get far before being talked to again, this time by Chad,

"Brielle!"

He said from behind me so I would pause walking which I really didn't,

"Chad"

I said blandly. He jogged up to me and walked with me, trying to stand in front of me to get me to stop walking but I didn't of course,

"So I was wanting to ask, do you wanna hang out with me at lunch? You know, finally get to know each other? Mingle some?"

He said, all by finishing it with a dumb laugh. I rolled my eyes,

"Let me guess, Audrey is still with Ben and you're hormonal self needs a fix of any girl you can get? Because if so, which I know so, you will not be getting anything if that sort from me so you may leave me alone now"

As the hallways population lessened, he looked around for a second before quickly slamming his hand onto the wall right in front of me and cutting me off. I sucked back and stopped,

"Why do you do this every time?"

He said with a fake smile,

"Because I'm not interested in anything about you"

He slowly began to lean in front of me,

"I can change that, I bet there's a lot of interesting things about me that you'd like"

I gulped and shook my head,

"I really don't think so"

"Brielle!"

I heard another voice yell. I looked over in relief to see Mal,

"Mal, what's up?"

I said as I immediately turned away from Chad and walked over to her,

"I didn't know you and that airhead of a boy were a thing"

She said which made me immediately gag a little,

"Oh hell no, we are most certainly not anything. He's been into me since we were little and I've never given him the time of day. He's an absolute pig, not even an attractive one at that, I have a very peculiar taste"

She chuckled, even her laugh sounds like it has an evil root,

"Oh that's tragic, I can't stand boys like him that are painfully narcissistic to the point that they're literally dumb as a pile of bricks"

I laughed and nodded,

"So do I"

"Anyway, what is your taste then if it's so peculiar?"

I furrowed my brow for a second, it's an odd question to ask but I did mention it so I didn't think much of it,

"Well, I like someone I can have a functional educated conversation with without them getting offended, I like wittiness you see, someone with personality to spare. When it comes to looks I like dark brown hair, taller than I, relatively fit, you know that stuff"

She side smiled and nodded,

"That all makes sense, hey I gotta get to class but the chat was nice"

I nodded once,

"Indeed it was, see you!"

I said with a wave as we parted ways, I still don't fully trust her but she's growing on me a little bit I won't lie.
