♕𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐞♛

The next day the VKs were in Evie's castle getting ready to leave for Jane's party. 

Evie and Jay were helping Carlos pack the picnic as Scarlett, Dizzy, and Celia were outside on the patio while Squeaky and Squirmy were on the couch playing some video games. 

Mal was walking out the castle as Vanessa tried to fix her outfit a bit more. Ben and Nick had to head back to their place to get ready and grab Jane's presents.

"Morning. Got the beach towels." Carlos smiled as he packed in the beach towels. "Sorry. Morning." Evie apologized as she almost tossed the bag to Jay's face and greeted Carlos. 

"I really think she's gonna like the cake, you guys. Oh, no. Okay. Who got into Jane's cake?" Carlos grinned at the thought before he saw a big piece of the cake missing.

"Delicious." Dizzy smiled as she and the girls ate some of the cake they found. "I especially love the lack of dirt." Celia agreed as she gestured the cake. "Don't forget the lack of flies." Scarlett pointed out as she couldn't get enough of the cake.

"Want some?" Celia offered the girls seeing that they already finished their piece of cake. "Thank you." Dizzy and Scarlett thanked the red haired girl as they ate some cake.

The girls shared smiles with each other as they had experienced something new and they were glad it was cake.

Vanessa was in Evie's fitting room fixing her outfit up a bit when she got a phone call. She set the needle down as she grabbed her phone answering it.

"Hello?" Vanessa answered her phone as she put on her shoes. "Hey, mon amour." Nick responded as he walked out to the terrace outside his room just to make sure Ben or anyone else hears him. 

"Hey, mon prince. What's up?" Vanessa smiled as she grabbed Jane's present, fixing the box. "Just getting ready to head out but-" Nick told her as he started to get nervous and worried for what he's about to do. 

"That's good also you and Ben might want to try and get Jane a new cake. I have a feeling three slices may have gone missing." Vanessa chuckled as earlier she saw Dizzy, Celia, and Scarlett get some slices.

"We'll go see what we can get. But there's something I have to tell you." Nick sighed as he paced on the terrace knowing that he's about to break a promise of not telling her anything but he had to do it. Vanessa had the right to know this. 

"Are you alright? I can hear your breathing shaking." Vanessa's smile dimmed as she was worried for him.

"I'm fine. But I really do have to tell you something that I should have said earlier." Nick assured her before he took a deep breath. "Okay. You can tell me anything." Vanessa nodded as she leaned on the counter with a confused yet worried expression.

While Vanessa was talking to Nick Mal had walked out of the castle but she didn't get far when a dark pink smoke appeared and seconds later so did a new Audrey who was wearing one of the queens crowns with the scepter.

"I was hoping you were home." Audrey walked up to Mal with a smirk while the purple haired girl chuckled. "Is this a joke? What are you doing with the crown and the scepter?" Mal scoffed as she questioned the girl. 

"Well, I wanted them, so I took them. And you, of all people should understand that, Mal." Audrey answered with a small shrug as she sent Mal a wicked smile.

"Wait, Aurdrey, stop! Don't use that." Mal quickly told the girl in fear as she knows what that scepter could do. "I thought you liked spells." Audrey looked at her as she tilted her head while looking deep into the scepter.

"Nick what do you have to tell me?" Vanessa asked him as she paced in the fitting room since Nick still hasn't told her anything. "It's about the barrier. There's more in this conversation than what I told you." Nick started as he ran his hand through his hair.
