Paris

One day, I'll quit being a fantasiser
and turn them into realities.
I'll make my way towards the Eiffel
and plant my foot on top of it.
At that moment I'm sure
my smile will be as wide as ever.

I'll take in the scene of Paris
and etch them on my mind
so deep that it would never fade.
I'll stand peering at the Parisian sun
waving at me from above.

I'll walk through the streets
in pure amazement,
watching the street artists
create magic on the canvas,
the vintage shops selling
tiny aesthetic pieces of art,
the bookstore down the street
with introverts like me inside.

I'll roam around with a Polaroid camera,
turning the priceless moments into photographs.
I'll get on the merry-go-round
and have the time of my life
watching lights all around
sparkling up the entire city.

I'll meet my childhood favourites
in the alluring Disneyland
confessing my love for them
and bidding them goodbyes
with warm hugs and kisses.

Talking to random people
and finding a friend in them,
I'll go around learning French
and leaving souvenirs to mark my existence.

At night, I'll find a place to rest
with long windows and the view of the Eiffel.
I'll sit on the balcony
gaping at the tall beauty
sparkling and shining under the Parisian sky.
The moon and the stars would smile at me,
because they know how much I wanted all this.

And all at once,
I'll close my eyes and be grateful to the lord
for granting me the privilege
to live my greatest dream
and to create bewitching memories
that will last a lifetime.

I love the city of Paris so much , I've spent way too much time searching up pictures and videos and articles about the city and it is one of my biggest dreams to visit Paris - most importantly THE EIFFEL - some day , hopefully.❤️
