as you plopped down on the couch you saw the movie kenma picked out

the ring

"kenma...why did you have to pick this movie" you said starting to shake out of fear
then suddenly you felt a pull, all of a sudden you were resting on kenma, who was holding you, as he combed through your hair
"don't worry if you get scared i'll be here" he said calmly
"that still doesn't answer my question thoug- eep!" a scary scene had already showed up and you shot up burying your head in kenma who just held you.

that's how most of the movie went, any and every scary scene would freak you out and cause you to bury yourself into kenma. then, to comfort you, he'd comb your hair and stroke your head.

finally it was the end of the movie and you looked up at kenma, tears streaming down your face and your eyes turned into those of a puppy dog's. "why would you subject me to such torture" you said squeezing him since your arms were wrapped around him. he just let out a small laugh and said "becuase it's a good movie"
"good movie my butt!" you said as you puffed your cheeks

then your stomach growled which caused you to get up
"what do you want for dinner?" you asked kenma as you walked to the kitchen
"you're cooking? i thought we could just have left-overs or something" he said suprised
you then opened the fridge and turned to look behind him
"leftovers, huh?" you said in a deadpanned expression referring to the lack of cooked meals in the frig.
kenma just laughed a bit and said "i guess you're right" while scratching the back of his neck
"so, then what do you want for dinner?" you asked again
"whatever you make is fine" kenma replied
you turned to face the fridge, rummaging through it, then saying "be careful, i will feed you cat food neko-kun!" you shouted but then felt two arms snake their way around your torso, you tended up for a second but then relaxed knowing it was kenma. you rested one hand on his and used the other to keep searching the fridge
"you wouldn't feed me cat food" kenma said with a sly grin on his face as he placed his head on top of yours
"be careful what you wish for kozume"
"no kozume, the only way you can call me kozume now is if we have the same last name" kenma huffed but that caused you to freeze in your tracks 'marrying...kenma' you thought flustered at the thought of married life with your boyfriend you then turned rosy shade of pink 'play it off kireina...play it off' you told yourself before speaking up
"mhm, well i must inform you neko-kun that i quite like my last name at i already have" you said playfully as you were able to wiggle out of his arms and over to the stove top to prepare dinner.

"how is your food always so good" kenma mumbled as he ate the soba you made him
"years of cooking for myself since i had no one else to cook for me" you smiled at kenma. you were struggling to reach for something in one of the upper cabinets. you felt a presence behind you, then kenma reached up and grabbed the thing you were struggling to get, he placed it on the counter infront of you. he bent down and while hugging you nuzzled his head into your shoulder, you glided your fingers through his silky locks. you giggled slightly at how cuddly he'd been since you were both done finishing the project.
"i've gotta kinda get back to baking, kenma"
"just a little bit longerrrr" he groaned
"come on kenma" you laughed
"the food can wait, can we cuddle please" kenma questioned. he was too adorable for you to resist so you agreed and you hugged kenma and he picked you up and plopped you down on the couch before flopping down next to you and pulling you into his chest. you layed there with your arms wrapped around kenma's torso you smiled to yourself 'he's so warm and comfy' you thought and drifted off to sleep for a little nap.

"c'mon kenma, it's the snow it won't be that bad" you stayed after getting changed back into your winter clothing you were wearing and threw kenma's hoodie for extra warmth. before grabbing by my waist and squeezing you into a hug kenma said "you're gonna catch a cold and i don't want to see you sick" he mumbled into your neck, then continued to nuzzle. "well then what do you want to do, since we can't go play in the snow?" you laughed and hugged him back. "mmmm i dunno, play games, watch a movie,...cuddle." he suggested.
"how about not watching a movie since the last one you chose scared me, we can play video games"
"...video games and cuddles?"
"then how will we play games"
"we can just cuddle"
"no way... the apocalypse is coming, kenma doesn't want to play video games...that won't work, no cuddles until you're better"
"mmmm fine"

you dragged kenma up the stairs and you plopped down on the bed, he tried to cuddle you and it took everything in you to resist, just for the joke. you shimmied out of his grasp and snaked up to the tv. you turned on the tv and chose your favorite anime, meeting in the middle to kenmas suggestion.

you walked back over and plopped down on to the bed you picked kenma's head up and rested it on your lap. you slowly brushed through his hair and sat in comfortable silence watching your favorite anime.

you both had gotten bored and played a couple rounds of kenmas favorite game. he sat there calmly beside you. the golden light from the sunset hit his skin and eyes perfectly, highlighting every feature of his. 'perfection' you thought, then the comment the other day that he made over the phone, after about ten minutes of thinking after the phone call that day you were able to make out what he said.

"i love you"

you decided to confront him on it

"hey kenma"
"yeah"
he kept his eyes trained on the video game. you looked at him, this time taking in all the details that the light illuminated on his face
"the other day when you made that phone call..."
"y-yeah"
"what did you say at the end?"
"t-that all my fans will love you"
you sighed 'might as well just tell him he's busted now' you thought laughing to yourself "kenma, i love you too"
"y-you actually heard that"
"...yeah" you blushed and hid your face

you felt a hand cup your cheek furthest away and gently pull your head towards his. you stared into his golden eyes, seeing how the light made them illuminate. he pressed his forehead against yours
"i guess i'm busted" he laughed.
'ugh, it's so intoxicating i can't take it" you thought then spoke, "i guess so you giggled"

kenma's pov
'her laugh is gorgeous' kenma thought as he enjoyed the close proximity of the two of you
'i could kiss her right now...'
'no, not now, just because she said she loves you doesn't mean she wants to kiss you'
'but she's so beautiful'
'...i can't'
kenma had an inner monologue, fighting his emotions.

he brushed his thumb along kireina's cheek, "you don't know just how much i love you..." he trailed off studying every detail on kireina's face before closing his eyes and combing his hand through her hair. kireina fell into his touch, hugging him
"once this whole blizzard has passed, why don't we go out on a date?" kenma questioned

kireina nodded and fell asleep in kenma's arms

konichiwa~ hi i hope everyone is doing great! i was originally going to write a kiss scene in this chapter but opted against it, i wanted to build up their relationship a bit more before doing so.

(that was past mizukei immediately after writing this^)
... so my results for my test came in... sis scored a 95% only forgetting a couple of minor details 😌✨❤️. also, 2K LIKE WHAAAAATTTT?!?!??! thank you all so much!!!!! i'm working on an event over on my tumblr rn so I'll be releasing something this week announcing it so that way y'all can send in requests! I'm working on a (insert mystery character) book because why not, but i'm not gonna tell ya'll who it is until i'm ready to release. i hope you have an amazing morning/afternoon/night and please stay safe!
