Blood Bound

Chapter 13

"I know you're here~" The unknown figure said, but the voice sounded familiar to Axle and then the candles were lit and revealed the man from before. Axle stayed in the kitchen, but had a clear view

"It was you" Viktor growled, but it was clear he was nervous, scared even

"You haven't aged a day, my dear" The unknown male said

"And you still look like shit... how are you still alive?" Viktor asked angrily

"We work in mysterious ways, almost as mysterious as you" The man said with a chuckle "I've been looking for you since we last parted.. You seem frightened"

Viktor took a moment and took a breath

"I am not scared of you" Viktor almost shouted "Now leave, or you'll have the same fate as last time!" Viktor was angered

"Oh.. but you are, and I see you still hold your spark, but you've grown weak with time, my dear, what a pity" The man said with a smirk.

He knew what he was doing and Viktor sprinted at him, but was met with punch to the stomach, sending him back a bit but also down on his knees, though this didn't stop the vampire from going at the man again, this time managing to dodge the hit and kick the man back and get slammed into the wall behind him.

The man was frankly just as fast as Viktor, if not faster, slamming into the smaller male, who actually let out a pained cry as he landed on the stairs with the larger male on top of him.

Viktor was determined to not lose to this man, anyone could see that in his eyes.

He was small enough to connect his knee to the man's chin, a crack following and the man grew angry, grabbing Viktor by his throat with ease and slamming him back down onto the stairs, another pained cry leaving the vampire.

Viktor began clawing at the male's arm, causing a pained sound once a nerve was hit and for the male to let Viktor go.

Viktor shot up with bloodied hands, sinking his fangs into the man's neck the second he was let go, and he ripped away, taking a chunk of flesh with and the man screamed, holding the wound in his neck and staggering back as he was kicked, Viktor moving to hit him again, but the man quickly moved out of the way

"So... you are still quite strong... this will be exciting, but I'm afraid we will have to wait to finish this" The man smirked but Viktor growled

"No, you will not be a coward! You came here! You will finish this!" Viktor shouted and the man charged at Viktor, hitting him right in the face with a fist and the vampire flew to the floor

"We will finish this on my terms" The man growled and left before Viktor could get himself back up, which took some help from Axle, who ran out to the vampire the second that man was gone, helping Viktor up and brought him into his arms.

He felt the smaller male shake and he didn't know if it was from anger or fright, though he didn't doubt that it was some of both.

Viktor didn't know what to do, getting up and leaning into Axle for support, actually in quite the bit of pain.

The hits to the head were things he would have to get over naturally. Viktor didn't quite process it, but Axle soon lifted him up and set him in one of the chairs

"Hey.. Viktor, focus" Axle stated, waving his hand in front of Viktor's face, who soon focused on Axle

"Follow my finger" Axle stated, holding one finger up and moving it slowly in front of the male's face, Viktor following it with his eyes

"He didn't see you, right?" Viktor asked suddenly, looking directly at Axle, who shook his head

"I don't think so"

"Good"

"What would have happened if he saw me?" Axle asked and Viktor sighed

"You wouldn't be alive much longer.. He hates humans more than he hates me... so had you seen this, you would be dead before you make it home" Viktor stated, and Axle cleared his throat a bit

"Unsettling" he said "Wait.. is that why you turned out the lights?" Axle asked and Viktor perked up, huffing slightly and going to turn on the lights, getting the candles out and Axle chuckled

"Are you really against caring about me?" Axle asked and Viktor shrugged

"Thank.. you.. for the help" Viktor said almost hesitantly, but that was something that actually helped with Viktor trusting Axle.

"Well, what else was I going to do? Now, where are your towels?" Axle asked
Viktor pointed towards the bathroom, and Axle headed off, humming slightly

Axle grabbed a small washcloth, dampening it with some warm water

Viktor got up, still in a bit of pain. His head was spinning and he wasn't happy about this, looking out the window and letting out a little growl until he felt warmth from Axle, looking up at the male and then closed his eyes tightly once the washcloth touched his face.

Axle wiped off the blood from Viktor's face and then his hands before he spoke softly

"So, who was that guy?" He asked and Viktor sighed

"Someone from my past. The last time we met, I killed him.. at least I thought" Viktor stated

"That is a really vague answer, but alright" Axle chuckled some "I am a little confused though.. why did he talk to me?"

"I'm unsure about that. Perhaps he saw you here at one of the points.. thought you would be a threat, and determined you weren't.. or he does plan on ending you" Viktor said and Axle shuddered

"Thanks for being honest" Axle stated and shook his head "I hope the latter is not the case"

Viktor hummed softly

"I hope so too" he spoke softly and Axle smiled

"You do care about me, huh?" Axle kind of teased and smiled as Viktor huffed quietly

"I suppose enough to not want you dead"
Axle laughed and shook his head

"That's enough for me"
