"What time is it?" Hana mumbled into her pillow, hearing Jungkook move about the room.

He had tried to be quiet, but had accidentally stubbed his toe against the desk in the dark. Typically the one inflicting the pain, Jungkook didn't tend to take it so well himself.

"Sorry for waking you," he offered, but she wasn't fussed. "Around 8:30."

"Hmph," Hana pouted into her pillow. They both had busy days today - she had to get back to the island, and Jungkook had to figure out what the fuck he was going to do about his predicament.

Jungkook paused momentarily and took in the sight of a sleepy Hana. She looked so tranquil; her hair spread around her head like a halo. He'd never be able to do what Saffy had asked him to do. Not in a million years.

"Babe?" He called out to her before formulating a sentence. She mumbled a response, and he panicked, not knowing how to phrase what he wanted to say - he just knew he had to say it.

He had to speak it into reality. "Let's do it."

Hana sat up, rolling her shoulders back and tilting her confused head. "Do what?"

"What we should have done twelve months ago," he stressed, not feeling confident enough to actually say what he meant. He ran his fingers through his dishevelled hair, trying to make sense of it all. "Nothing is keeping me here anymore. I thought I was staying for Jin, but I-"

He sighed, exasperated from his brain working at a mile a minute. Hana pushed the duvet off herself and crawled over to the side of the room he had been pacing. She held out her hand, and he pulled her up off the soft pocket springs, wrapping her legs around his torso, placing her on the empty dresser. His lips rested on her forehead, applying just enough pressure to let her know that he was earnest in his feelings for her.

"He didn't want to live in a world without Yoongi," Jungkook whispered. Hana's heart felt heavy. "And I don't wanna live in a world without you."

Hana tilted her head upwards to look into his grief-stricken eyes. There was going to be consequences to his choices, definitely, but there would be either way.

"I have business with Hoseok down in Daegu today. I think I owe it to him to tell him what I'm doing," Jungkook contemplated. Hana nodded, letting him continue vocalising his thoughts. She appreciated his honesty. "I can't see him stopping me, but there's no guarantee he won't tell Saffy."

"She'll find out soon enough anyway, Koo," Hana shrugged. "It's not a case of 'if'. It's a case of 'when'."

Jungkook sighed, nodding. Of all the trouble he'd gotten himself into, this was by far the worst.

The plan was simple; Hana would head home today, as quickly as possible. The islands were the safest place for her to be, surrounded by people she trusted, in an area she knew like the back of her hand. Jungkook would settle his business with Hoseok, clear out what he needed from his properties and drive to the coast the following day. It wasn't entirely foolproof, no, but at least it was a plan.

He helped her pack her suitcase, revelling in how normal and mundane it felt. This was it; this was the start of the life he had been dreaming about. He loved it. He loved her.

"Let me know when you get to the port m'kay?" he mumbled, arms wrapped tightly around her as they got ready to leave.

"Promise," she spoke honestly, holding out her pinky for him to take. He couldn't help but smile at her innocence, linking his strong pinky with her dainty one.

She was in a pair of skin-tight jeans and a white shirt, not too far off from the outfit he was also sporting. There was an innate sense of togetherness between the two of them that just seemed to happen naturally.

"I'll see you soon, okay?" Jungkook swore as her taxi came to a stop outside of her hotel.

"You better," she joked, aware of the fact that this could all entirely fall through.

She was trying to think in positives, trying to manifest her dreams becoming a reality. She'd never been a big believer in those sorts of things, but she needed it to work this time.

As her taxi rolled away, Jungkook stuffed his hands in his pockets and frowned. The cold city air battered his face, harshly reminding him of the coming winter. Where the fuck did he go from here?
