Katsuki's POV
It had been two days with the villains, they were long and bitterly annoying. At least I hadn't seen Lily anywhere here, so that means she must've made it out safely. I can only wonder how she's doing though.
"I'll ask you again, will you join us Bakugou Katsuki?" The hand villain asked me. I literally had to grit my teeth.
"No fucking way you bastards." I seethed, my hands were bound together and I was tied to the back of a chair, but I sure as hell wasn't going to give them the satisfaction of winning me over.
"Okay then.. until later." The guy said before leaving me alone once again. It was like this all the time, on and off about asking me to join the league. At this point it was boring.
I 'tch'd and rolled my head back, attempting to sleep for even a little bit. I sighed but didn't feel content nor safe enough. I was scared. For the first time other then the times when I had almost lost Lily, I was terrified. For myself rather than somebody else.
"This is full bullshit, these motherfuckers seriously think that can win me over with persuasion, they're dead wrong." It's been a while, I wonder if anybody is actually coming for me, I doubt they would, I am a selfish undeserving bastard.
How do I even have a girlfriend, much less people who care?
Eijiro's POV
"Hey! Midoriya you're finally awake! Did you see the news? Reporters are all over the school right now." I hear Kaminari say as he walked into Midoriya's room with a few others. I quickly joined them.
"There's only 14 of us for now," Uraraka said.
"Because Bakugou's gone." Todoroki said solemnly. Mina started telling him to cut it out and be sensitive for once.
"He knows that Todoroki!" I watch as Deku's eyes become teary so I keep my head low as he started talking about how All might once told him that there were gonna be people out of his reach. He reprimanded himself and began crying.
"Alright," I said finally speaking up, "Let's go get him. I was here yesterday too, and so was Todoroki, we went around and talked to some people, but I overheard that Yayorozu had placed a tracker on the Nomu that was there."
Midoriya looked shocked, "This means your going to have Yayorozu make another receiver for you doesn't it?" Iida asked.
I winced and looked down again.
"What if it does?" Todoroki challenged. I watched as Iidas face turned angry and wild.
"Because its not right for us to get involved. We just need to leave this to the pros! You guys are being idiots!" He shouted, not caring that we were in a hospital anymore.
"Maybe but I can't just stand here and do nothing! I stayed in that classroom even when I heard my best friends were being targeted! I did that already! Now Bakugou's gone and they don't even know when Lily's gonna wake up! At camp I couldn't do anything. Now I can and I'm afraid if I don't.. how can I call myself a hero or a man?!"
"Shush man, we're in a hospital, there's gotta be a better time for this." Kaminari whispers, I wince.
"He's right you know, the pros are more likely to have a better chance.." Tsu added on.
"Just listen, I know what you're saying is right, but still come on Midoriya, he's still within your reach. The fights not over yet. We can save Bakugou." A drop of sweat rolls down his face, as the moment was intense and scary.
"Have the two of you lost your minds?!" Iida exclaimed, "I know that we are all frustrated and believe me I am too! I was there when Lily was separated from us, she was terrified, but even then she was optimistic! She wouldn't want you to risk your lives for someone she knows the pros can get back." He scowled at all of us, as on of our classmates made him back off.
"We cant let our emotions get the best of us, right?" I sighed and looked away. Some people start talking about how they were part of the reason we failed, or that Aizawa only gave permission while we were at the camp.
"We have to be rational, it doesn't matter how noble you intentions are, if you go out there and try to find the bad guys, knowing you're breaking the rules, then you're acting like villains. Not hero's." Tsu added onto the piling reasons why they shouldn't go.
The mood seriously shifted, everyone was thinking about how what Tsu said was correct. She was completely right. We would be more like villains rather than what we were wishing for.
A sudden knock on the door scared the living daylights out of Ayaoma.
"Sorry to interrupt you guys but I need a moment alone with Midoriya." The doctor said. We all nodded silently and headed out.
I headed up to Midoriya first before leaving, "We talked to Yayorozu yesterday, if we're doing this, it's tonight."
"I know you've got some pretty bad injuries so I don't know if you would actually be able to go, but I wanted to invite you anyway." With that I waved goodbye and headed out.
I turned down different hallways, passed different doors, and made it back to the room that Lily had been in before her throat surgery, where she now was resting.
Room 666, lucky? Hopefully.
I opened the door and saw Present Mic and Mr. Aizawa inside. The yellow room was still as bright as it was yesterday, and the time before that.
"Hey dudes, hows she doing?" I ask quietly. As if any louder would hurt her. She looked so pale and fragile.
"Better," Mr. Aizawa replied. "The gas she inhaled was poisonous, and with her already fragile lungs, it was nearly fatal, she's still in critical condition." I took a seat sitting farther away.
"Iida said she was at least optimistic before he lost her in the forest." Present Mic wouldn't look nor talk to me, his eyes completely focused on the sleeping girl.
"You're her other Dad right?" I asked the downed blonde. "She's not one to talk about her family but when she does she mainly talks about wanting to be a hero like you guys."
Mics face softened and he looked towards the red head, tears were at the edges of his eyes. "I see her like I would a sister, she's someone dear to me, but not only me. She changed a lot of us, Bakugou especially. Mina loves her, she brought out the partying side of Lily and is technically her best friend, even though we kinda share that spot. She's so manly." I chucked before realizing where I was again.
"Sorry, I kinda got carried away." Both males shake their heads.
"No, thank you, I needed that." Present Mic said, "When we first sent her to UA I was scared she wouldn't make any friends since she had never been to a real school before this and lacked people skills." He chuckled with tears running down his face. "I'm glad that hasn't held her back."
I smiled and enjoyed the peace that the moment brung.
I sighed, "I better go, too much time at the bedside of a dear one can do bad things to your mind." I got up and shook both of Lily's Dads hands, praying that the next time I saw her she wasn't in a coffin.
