Chapter 1- One Soul Saved

Natalia had just gotten back from her solo mission

Now both of the young girls were informed about the situation and what was going to happen on their next mission

They new they couldn't discuss it out loud so the two learned Morse code which they new Madam B didn't know

"Can you believe it Vallen, we're going to get out of this place" Natalia said tapping on the table

"I couldn't be happier Talia, but remember keep your cover, we cannot looses focus for the time remaining" Valentina codes with a straight face

The following week they were getting ready to go on there mission

"Remember you two, me and Ivan will be out here, get it done and then come right back out here and meet us understand?" Madam B said to the pair

"Yes Madam" they both reply

Both girls walk inside and find a shield team already there

They both feel one of their soulmarks burning

A young looking man walked towards them with a smile

"Hello, I'm Clint" he said

"Very nice to meet you Clint, I'm Valentina" she said

"I'm Natalia" the other assassin says

"Hate to cut this short but we have to get going" Fury says leading them to the roof

As much as Valentina was trying to be positive she had a bad feeling about this

While the rest were going up to roof she held back the director

"You do remember the plan yes?" She asks

"Yes I do, are you worried something is wrong" He asks stoping to look at her

"I am almost certain that we aren't both going to make it out of here. I don't know what it is but I have a gut feeling" Valentina says with glassy eyes

"No, we're going to get you both out of here, I promise" Fury says

He puts a hand on her back and guides her to the roof

Halfway there they hear gunshots and chaos

Valentina and Fury both pull out their guns and run through the doors to the rooftop

They see agents from the Red Room, Natalia shooting the last one

"Go, Go! Get on the Quinn jet now" Fury yells

As a Natalia steps onto the jet more agents come through the door more then they could count

Valentina knew what had to be done

She drops her gun and kicks Fury

"We can still make it" He says grabbing her leg

"No. We can't, and it's ok. Just get Natalia out of here" Valentina says flipping out of his hold

"What are you doing Valentina!" Natalia screams

She runs off the Quinn Jet and to Valentina

"I'm so sorry. Know that I love you Natalia" with that Valentina kicks her in the chest making her stumble into Clint who sedates her

Valentina fights against the shield agents until they all make it onto the Jet

"I'm sorry Valentina, I wasn't able to fulfill my promise, but I will take care of Natalia, and one day we will get you back" Fury says shooting her in the shoulder twice and sedating her

Valentina falls onto the floor and shoots at the Jet which she knows won't do anything

She smiles tiredly seeing that they could no longer be reached, and that her Natalia was free at last

"Valentina!" She hears before she blacks out

At S.H.I.E.L.D

Natalia opens her eyes and sees she's on a bed

A bed?

She sits up and looks around trying to remain calm

Her knew that she definitely wasn't in the Red Room, the beds weren't like this and her hand was free and not cuffed

Clint walks in and Natalia looks at him startled

"Hey it's ok, your safe alright" he says sitting down next to her on the bed

"Where are we" she asks

"We're at Shield headquarters Natalia" he steps her

"What happened? Wait where's Valentina!? Is she alright!?" Natalia asks standing up

"Listen to me ok, I am so sorry but she didn't make it out, they took her back to the Red Room" Clint told her putting his hands on her shoulder

"No, no, no t-t-that can't true, it, it, it just can't, tell me you lying please. Tell me she made out it out and is just asleep somewhere! Please!" Natalia said with tears in her eyes

"I'm so sorry sweetheart, I wish I could" Clint told her sadly

Hearings those words Natalia fell into Clint's arms and let out harsh sobs

Her legs gave out on her but Clint brought them down to the floor gently

Natalia can't ever remember feeling this much pain in her life

All her sanity being pushed out the door and all she can do is cry for her mate

She cries for what seems like days in Clint's arms

And still she is overwhelmed with pain
