Fei Yang's horse stopped, and turned to face the group. "Let's rest here for the night, then we'll start again at dawn." he told his men and looked to Wen Yue.

The men nodded in agreement and got off their horses to find firewood.

The prince got off his horse and tied the reins to the branch of a log. He then left to Wen Yue and extended out his hand. The princess looked with hesitation but took it.

Without any problems, she got off her horse and tied the reins next to his. Her eyes looked away, "Thank you," her voice quiet.

He gave a subtle smile and walked away to find water to fill his pouch along with wood.

She stood there not exactly knowing what to do or say. Even with these days that passed, they hardly spoke.

It were as though they've truly become strangers.

The men simply watched the pair as they parted ways. One couldn't help but sigh, "They're doing that again." Han said to Huang and Jianyu.

It was only the three that were of Fei Yang's personal group. The others were those tasked to later come by the orders of the Jin Kingdom's king.

None of them survived.

The other two kept their silence as a fellow member of their group rambled. Han clicked his tongue, "His Highness asked for her hand, and yet he is not giving her a shred of attention."

"Han, we mustn't speak of matters that don't concern us." Huang spoke.

"But it does, His Highness' concerns are ours as well." he seemed to remind.

"Aren't you just noisy." Huang made a statement.

"Quiet," Fei Yang's right-hand, Jianyu spoke.

The two went silent once they heard him. After all, he is their superior. However, authority didn't mean anything when it was between the three.

"Goodness, Jianyu aren't you His Highness right-hand? Can't you help him or something?" Han urged.

The prince's closest aid sighed as he walked away leaving the two.

Huang shrugged, "Can't you be more annoying." as he walked away and went after Jianyu to help gather firewood to set up camp.

Han scoffed at his words and proceeded to bring out a bag of feed for the horses. They still had a few days left of this journey back.

Just doing his part, he was then approached by her.

"Han?" she said in question, trying to remember his name.

Hearing so, he turned to her and bowed, "Yes, Your Highness."

"Is there another bag? I'll help." offering assistance.

He raised a brow, not really knowing how to respond. Looking down, he saw her tattered hands and immediately looked to the side.

A ring of stones gathered in a circle was already made to start a fire.

Unable to deny her, he accepted, "Your Highness can take my bag while I get another." he then walked off to fetch it.

Wen Yue gave a short smile and proceed to feed the magnificent beast. Her hand came to its face, touching it gently.

Those once solemn eyes became filled with grace.

Han returning couldn't help but look in awe at the princess. It was really true as the words said amongst the townsfolk of the capital city.
