Lauren's POV

- The sunset had turned the sky orange, while it was slowly hiding behind the peaceful ocean. The day before had been pretty weird, to say the least. She he didn't want to think about that. She had a beachfront house in Malibu. With a rectangular pool, some white Balinese hammocks and the wooden floor, which went up a staircase to a second floor that was a terrace.

- Normani came up behind me and yelled, scaring me, she couldn't be more annoying.

- "Woah." I said looking at her outfit and then at her face. She was wearing a tight dress in which her ass was perfectly shaped.

- "Calm your predatory instinct." She said raising her finger to shut me up. The guests are starting to arrive, you should welcome them. She pointed to the door and I grunted, I hated this about parties.

- I stood at the door and greeted them one by one with a smile, while Normani checked her cell phone for any messages. Normani was my assistant as well as my secretary. Normani advised me on what to do and how to do it, although I also come up with ideas. She was a kind of friend-secretary, which can be summed up as a personal assistant.

- I have been welcoming people for more than two hours, it felt like everyone in the world came to this party, except for Camila, I was waiting for her, where the hell was she?

- The door bell rang as soon I opened the door my jaw dropped. Camila was standing in front of me with the most gorgeous dress I had ever seen. We were alone in the living room because everyone was on the terrace, and I opened the door more letting her enter my house. There she was. With straight hair falling to her shoulders, a very tight black dress making me forget I had a girlfriend.

- "Lauren?" Camila asked, snapping me out of my thoughts.

- "Camila." I smiled closing the door behind us. "Follow me." I gestured for her to come with me and she nodded.

- I walked through different parts of the house until I reached the kitchen where the catering was in. I grabbed a tray of canapés, a bottle of wine and two glasses, reaching one of the places under everyone, where the music was coming but no one could see.

-"You don't need to do this..." She smiled slightly and I shrugged. We were practically at a table in front of the beach, and I started pouring wine into our glasses.

-"You deserve this, believe me." I said, drinking a little while looking at her. I feel like I owed you way more than a simple meal yesterday. You were by my side day and night for two weeks, telling me about your life, and being so kind to me.

- "Yes .. It's something weird...", leaving it on the table. I stared at them for a moment, appreciating them because I just hadn't seen the same ones. "But that's okay, this is very nice and your house is impressive. I took a salmon canape and handed it to her, with a half smile.

- "You should try it, it's very good." to analyze every gesture she made. I took a bite of the same thing she did and drank some more wine, I stared at every inch of Camila's tanned skin waiting for her answer.

- "It is." She answered.

- Has your girlfriend been happy with you being here? I asked bringing the glass to my mouth to take a slight sip, glancing at Camila. She was thoughtful for a moment and I began to get nervous.

-I wanted to have everything under control, and a non-response from the Latina was eating at my nerves.

- "I don't have a girlfriend." She finally answered. My cell phone started ringing in my pocket and I took it out, my girlfriend's name was engraved on it.
