Mark turned around, not looking the least bit surprised or scared. He looked at Kai and I straight in the eyes, almost like he was waiting for us to say something.
"Mark?", Kai asked with a little confusion in his voice.
Mark nodded. "Yup"
There were a few moments of us not saying anything. For some reason, I didn't feel as scared as I should have been. I kind of knew who Mark was now, and I didn't feel threatened by him, even though he did break into my apartment.
I looked around my place, trying to see if there was any damage. Nothing. I had no idea what Mark wanted, and why he came to my apartment for it.
"What do you need?", I blurted out, "You might have been able to get whatever it was without breaking in"
"Well, what do you think I'm here for?", he asked. He looked completely serious, but there was a little childish look in his face that made me smile internally just a little bit.
"We're not here for games", Kai crossed his arms, "So, just get to the point, kiddo"
My eyes flickered back and forth between Mark and Kai – they were just staring at each other.
"I'm here because...", Mark finally started, but still kept his eyes locked with Kai's, "...Because of Jaemin's profile"
I let out a big breath.
Really?
Are you kidding me, right now?
"Why would you come here for that?", I asked with a little anger in my voice, "They're at the Seoul City Hall where they should be"
"Yeah, but you took a picture of it on your phone, too", Mark glared, "Didn't you?"
I looked at my phone which was just dangling in my hand.
"Yeah?"
Kai studied my face from where he was, standing next to me, and then he looked back at Mark.
"C'mon, man", Kai sighed, "Cut the girl some slack"
"I can't.", Mark said plainly, "You know what its like when a mafia's private information is just floating around"
"I'll delete it", I offered, "I just don't want anything to do with you people anymore"
No one said anything.
I walked over to Mark's side and erased the picture of Jaemin's profile right in front of him.
"That's nice and all", Mark looked at me, "But because you're someone who didn't have the right to look into his private information like that, and since you read everything, I think we have to do something more than just deleting a picture"
I raised my eyebrow. "Like?"
"If you're saying we kill her", Kai shot a look, "I'll make sure that you'll be the first one dead"
"That's not what I'm saying, take a chill pill", Mark took a deep breath, "I'm just doing my job, here, and I can't just let Jiwoo carelessly walk around when she knows a lot more about Jaemin than she should"
"So, what do you want me to do, then?", I asked.
"Well, since you already deleted the photo", Mark pulled a piece of paper out of his backpack, "I just need you to sign this"
I walked over to him and took the piece of paper in my own hand, and read the stuff it had written on it.
"What the-?", I was totally confused with what the document was saying.
"Everything on there just means that NCT Dream will give you one more chance", Mark explained, "But if we find out that you gave any info about us to anyone, there will be serious consequences"
I nodded, pretended like I understood.
"Ok, well", I sighed, "I never planned on telling anyone, anyway, so..."
I took a pen in my hand after reading through everything, and signed the document.
"Was that it?", I asked.
Mark nodded.
"Look", he said, "I really didn't mean to scare you today, but we have to take the privacy of identities seriously"
"I understand", I told him, "I promise you, I get it"
