This is a songfic for Annie Lennox's beautiful song, Into the West. You are basically Celebrían, who is Lord Elrond's wife who had to sail to Valinor. I got this idea after getting unnecessarily emotional while listening to Into the West.

Warning: There are mentions of blood and torture, but they aren't detailed descriptions of it. Also, this might be a little sad!

Early one morning, you woke up next to your husband, Elrond. You were going to leave him for some time as you were going to visit your parents in Lórien. And you were going alone. Neither your sons, Elladan and Elrohir, nor your daughter, Arwen were going with you. Meaning that Elrond was not coming either.

"Good morning, melamin." you gently whispered. The lord of Imladris woke up and smiled, seeing your face.

"Good morning." he whispered. "I suppose that this is the day that you are setting off to Lothlórien..."

"Yes it is." You got up and dressed for your journey. But before you set out, you had to eat something and say goodbye to your family. It was only going to be a short trip, but you were going to miss them.

Elladan and Elrohir were sitting by the dinner table with Arwen. You greeted them and prepared a breakfast. Once you sat down, your children began to talk to you about your trip to the elven forest.

"Could you tell mam and dâd that we say hello?" asked Arwen. She was your youngest child and only daughter, and she had the beauty of her elvish (and half-elven) ancestors.

"Of course I can, Arwen." you answered. "They will be glad to know that all of you are alright. Maybe someday you could join me on my visits to Lórien."

Everyone ate breakfast at the table together to say goodbye to you. After that, you did a few more things and stood just outside of Imladris. Your family said one last goodbye to you before you left, heading towards the Caradhras.

The Misty Mountains were cold, but you pushed through. Nothing was going to stop you from going to the forest of Lórien to see your parents, Lady Galadriel and Lord Celeborn. Well, that's what you thought, until orcs saw you and took you away. You were terrified and tried to let out a few cries so somebody would hear you.

While you were held captive by the orcs, they tortured you and hurt you. And they made you sit alone in the dark for hours on end. All that was on your mind was your family. They were probably concerned. Blood was all over your torn up clothing due to the orcs' torment.

Many days passed and you were poisoned by the servants of Sauron. All of this hell you were going through made you yearn for somebody to take you home. You yearned to see Elrond, Elladan, Elrohir, and Arwen.

Soon, you heard familiar voices in this dark cave that you were trapped in. The voices belonged to no orc. They belonged to elves. And elves that you knew.

The voices were those of your sons and your husband. They have come to rescue you! Elrond saw you in pain, and he was saddened. You really needed healing.

While Elladan and Elrohir fought off orcs, your husband used his healing hands to tend your wounds. Including the poisoned one. Thankfully, you were healed, but the memories of your torture never faded away with your wounds. They remained on your mind for a long time.

Back in Imladris, Elrond laid you down on your bed and told you to get some rest, as you needed it. He told you that your mother and father will be informed about the unfortunate events that had occurred on your way to their home.
