Chapter Twenty

Chris did tire me out cause l didn't even realize he left to take Kayla l feel like a bad mother.

"Mommy are you okay." Kayla asks climbing on the bed

"I am fine monkey." I kiss her forehead.

"Okay."

And she story telling what she did with Alice from the baking and showing her embarrassing pictures of Chris and Camila. How much l wish l watched them as well at this moment.

Chris comes out minutes later all dressed up at least he is aware of Kayla in the house and l love that no no no l mean l like that about him.

"Bathroom is yours." He takes Kayla from my laps and leaves so that l fix myself which l have to.

Looking at myself on the mirror l had hickeys covering my neck shit, l touch them and let me sink myself in the memories of the results. By the time l finished taking a long hot shower l get out to see clothes on the bed.
There was a his black tee and sweatpants which k assume got from Camilas wardrobe cause it's my size as well as a new pair of boxers and l smile at his thoughtful ness. I wrap my hair with a towel wouldn't want the whole house with droplets of water. When I entered the lounge

"So how do l kill you." Kayla's voice becomes clear and l cock any eyebrow

She sat in between his laps holding her game pads, from the looks of it they ate just cereal cause of the plates in the sink. Not disturbing their bonding time l search through the kitchen fo anything l can cook and as well as to familiarize myself.
I ended up settling on macaroni with savory mince with mixed vegetables on the side which l know l have to bribe Kayla into them. Breaking their intense game l serve them food which Chris said thank you to and Kayla groaned when her eyes landed on broccoli and cauliflower.

"Let's make a deal." Chris says

"I am listening." She suddenly perks her attention to him

"If you eat all your greens every-time mommy cooks them or food mommy gives you l will buy you a new doll every week."

I know it's one way to do it but if he wants to then well l will let him do it.  And we were back to talking to each other, and l must say Kayla is a clever one. Chris was showing her how to throw and grab and l don't know if she was deliberately missing grabbing the broccoli mid air or what l laughed when reality sunk that almost half her vegetables had fallen.

Clever kid I admitted. Afterwards Chris places the dishes in the dish washer as we prepared to watch a movie picked by Kayla that's means animated movie not that l mind. Later during the day Chris left for practice whilst l binge watched movies with Kayla just like any summer break.

Elena and Grayson already left to catch their planes to go home and l wasn't there to see them good bye l feel bad.

Runs back to her room and surveys for anyone in the corridor, before closing her door and walking to the closet. Oh oh this is serious story.
