"What!? That's absurd! We already had a verbal agreement that we will be pushing through with the contract. What happened?"

Napamura na lang ako ng mahina nang tila natakot yung assistant ko at nabitawan yung dala nitong tray ng kape when she heard me raised my tone.

I am having a conference call with my corporate lawyers right now. They are in Melbourne to finalize the contracts with my business investors na kausap ko doon nung nagpunta ako more than a month ago.

"I'm sorry, Ms. Lou. The clients don't want to affirm the reason why they're taking their time to release the contract or whether they will still be pushing through."

Dang! What went wrong? Maayos na yun bago ako umuwi ng bansa. Sigurado ako.

"I just talked with them last night before you guys arrived there. They even confirmed the transaction for today. I haven't got a notice that they are backing out. Are you sure?"

"There's nothing we can do here. Their corporate lawyers were the one who faced us saying the client would want to take their time before signing the contract with us. The order came from the Chairman just this morning. We weren't even allowed to raise our questions why."

Tiningnan ko lang yung assistant ko na para bang maiiyak pa habang dinadampot yung nabasag na tasa ng kape.

Damn! That's my favorite cup pa naman. I bought that as a gift for myself.

"Sure. It's okay. That's business. I guess, we can't do anything about it." Napabuntong-hininga na lang ako habang kausap pa din yung mga abogado ko na nagsayang lang ng oras para pumunta doon sa wala.

I expect my investors to atleast have the decency to inform us ahead though. This is so unethical.

"But.." parang nagdadalawang isip ito kung sasabihin ba nito iyon o hindi.

"Just spill it out." I encourage him. Kahit ano namang sabihin nito ay sira na din naman yung mood ko.

"I've got a report from our informant here that Ms. Alliston Parker had a dinner meeting with the Chairman of the conglomerates last night."

"Alliston? Ano namang gagawin ni Alli dyan?" Takang tanong ko pa.

Hindi ba at magkasama ngayon si Alliston at Oliviar? They're living in together. I got it confirmed. Kaya nga ako nabubwisit nitong mga nakaraang linggo dahil mukhang naisahan talaga ako ni Alli. Hindi pa naman ako naniniwala na ito talaga at yung kaibigan ni Aria. Even Aria and Grant are not convinced sa dating status ni Alli ngayon.

"Sabi ng informant natin dito, mukhang pinag-iisipan na lang kung i-aacquire nila yung business ng mga Montecillo o itutuloy pa ba yung business partnership with us. But you know how Australian business people work. Most probably they are considering acquiring an entity than partnership."

"Fuck it!" Gigil na nahampas ko yung ibabaw ng mesa.

Now I get it! This is not fair!

Dickhead ka talaga, Alli bear! Ang dumi mo talaga maglaro. Seriously, you went there to sabotage my business expansion at kinausap mo pa yung investor ko na bilihin na lang yung kumpanya ng boy toy mo instead of pursuing the partnership with my company? Para ano? Para makaahon yang gagong lalaki mo? Pababagsakin ko yan. Makikita mo! Sisiguraduhin kong magiging pulubi yang pamilya ng lalaking yan!

"Take the remaining days of the week off. Enjoy yourselves. All expenses will be charge to the company."

After saying that ay pigil ang inis na in-end ko na yung call. Tumayo na lang ako at nagstretch ng braso.
