meeting the members pt5. (Felix)

-minjee POV-

I was in the studio recording a song when a cheerful Chris came up to me.
"MINJEE! MINJEE!" he said shouting
"What?!" I replied
"THERES A NEW TRAINEE. AND HES AUSSIEEEE" he said I got excited and got up
"REALLY?! WHAT'S HIS NAME?!" I asked
"LEE FELIX. HE JUST CAME LAST NIGHT. I HAVENT MET HIM BUT IVE HEARD PEOPLE TALK ABOUT HIM" he said
I got even more excited
"IS HE AN OPPA OR DONGSAENGI?" I asked
"I'm not sure! I know he's younger than me though." He said. I smiled and nodded
"I can't wait to meet him!!" I jumped up at and down. He smiled at me.
"Maybe we can meet him later? I'll go ask jyp-nim!" He said. I nodded and smiled.
"Wahh Lee Felix...? Where's he from?"
"Sydney!"
"Really?! So we're all from Sydney?!" I asked
He nodded.
"It was destiny" he said. We laughed at continued our day.
~a couple hours later~
"Minjee!" Said Chris I turn around
"Yes?"
"This is Felix!" I turn my head and saw a younger boy behind him
"Oh- hello!" I said in English
He smiled "hello! I'm Felix nice to meet you!" His strong accent coming out
"Wah- his voice-" I said. He laughed
"My voice is pretty deep..." He said scratching his head.
I laughed at him
"I'm minjee, I'm from Sydney Australia" I said
"Wah! You're from Sydney too?! I thought chan was the only other Aussie!" I smiled and nodded.
"So, Felix here doesn't know Korean, so I thought he could learn with you and minho, is that okay?" Chris asked
I nodded happily
"Yeah! Now I won't be the only one learning Korean!" I said Felix smiled
"Is Korean hard to learn?" Felix said
"Um..depends," I said
"On what" Felix asked
"It's hard if you make it hard, but minho makes it easy for me so I'm sure he'll do it easy for you too. When you first start learning it's confusing though, especially writing, well for me, I was able to speak it but not write it when learning with minho, so he had to teach me how to write as well." I said. He nodded
"How do you go to school here then? Like if it's all Korean?" Felix asked
"I take classes here at jyp, back in Australia I would go, but since I moved here, I started doing them online but in English so i could understand" I said. He nodded
"That makes more sense now" he said. I smiled.
"So, Felix actually really likes dancing" chan says
"Really?! Me too!" I said
Felix smiled "I've been dancing for a while now" he says
"What about you?" He continued
"Ah, I've been dancing for...7 years now" I said
"7 years?! How old are you?!"
"Well...I'm currently 13" I said scratching the back of my head
"13?! You're 3 years younger than me!" He said. I smiled and nodded
"Wah....so you've been dancing since you were...6?!" He said. I nodded
"When I was 2 I would just randomly dance, so my parents got me into a dancing class at the age of 6 where they learned kpop dances and would just dance to them" I said. He looked surprised
"Wah...that's cool" he said. I nodded and smiled.
"How about we go out to eat? Hm? My treat" said Chris. I shook my head
"It's alright! I can pay for my stuff." I said he looked at me and shook his head with a frown
"Nope, I'm paying for you" he said
"But whyy" I argued
"Because, if I said it's my treat, then it's my treat. Let's gooo" he said as he grabbed me and felix's hands and dragged us. I shook my head and giggled. Felix turned to look at me and smiled.
"Is he always like this?" Asked Felix.
"Pretty much" I said laughing
"I heard that! I'm not that old yet!" Chan said and me and Felix laughed.
We got to a small cafe and ordered something to eat.
"So mate, when's your birthday?" Asked chan.
"September 15 2000" Felix responded
"Wah, he's one day younger than jisungie"I said
"Ji...sung?" Asked Felix "who's that?"
"He's a friend of ours." Chan said
"Ah.." Felix said nodding we got our orders and continued talking
"So, minjee" said Felix. I looked up after taking a bite of my cake
"Hm?"
"How'd you come to Korea?" He asked
"Ah, after I passed my audition my parents came to Korea with me, but they had to move back to Australia after a couple months because of work, so they left me with my grandma here, but then I had to move into the dorms, and that's how I'm here" I said. Felix nodded
"How'd you pass your audition?" He asked. I looked at him confused
"W-wait! I didn't mean that in a rude way! I promise! I- I just meant like-- how your audition went and what made you want to-" he rambled on. I smiled
"It's okay! I don't mind it! Um...well I was always into singing and dancing ever since I was really little, and one day I was out with sum friends and a staff came up to me and told me to audition because of my looks and vocals so i auditioned as a joke and surprisingly I got in," I said
"What do you mean as a joke?" Felix asked confused
"I danced to an EXO song and did some poses for fun, but I didn't think it'd get me anywhere. I just thought I'm already here, might as well show what I got just in case but didn't really think I'd be a trainee. So when I got a letter saying I was accepted I was rlly surprised but I was happy. And that's basically it" I said. He nodded
"That's cool, now my story is just boring. I just tried out and got in" Felix said I smiled and looked at chan
"Chan's been a trainee since 2010" I said Felix looked at Chris surprised "2010?! Didn't you say you were born in 97?? So you were 13 when you passed??" He asked. Chan nodded his head. "it was scary, but I mean I've survived this far, I don't know what I'ma do if I'm not able to debut at this point" he said. Felix looked at him "hey, don't say that, if you've been here for 6 years and they haven't kicked you out that shows that you're great and they see you have potential, I'm sure you'll debut!" He said. I smiled at his words and nodded
"Yeah! And if you get kicked out. Pshh I'll fight pd-nim for kicking you out! Pow pow" I said punching the air jokingly. Felix and chan giggled
"Ahh..thank you guys, we'll see what happens...anyways. we should go back to the company, we could introduce you to the others" chan said. We nodded and chan paid for the stuff,
"Hey guys, go outside wait for me I gotta use the restroom" I said. They nodded and went to the front of the cafe, I know Chris told me he'd pay but I cant let him pay for everything. I walked up to the cashier. It was an older lady, maybe around 40.
"Excuse me?" I said. She looked down and smiled
"Hi there! What can I help you with?"
"Well, I was just here with two boys and one payed for our drinks. Can I pay for them?" I asked. She looked confused
"You want me to give you his money back so you can pay for it with your money?" She asked surprised. I nodded and she smiled.
"Alright, do your oppas know you're doing this?" She asked, I shook my head
"Ani...I told one of them id pay but he didn't let me..." I said. She nodded and smiled
"It was $12.49" she said. I handed her a $20,
"Keep the change, it's okay. Keep it for yourself, make sure you use it wisely though, don't buy things you shouldn't with it...arraseo?" I said. she smiled and nodded.
"Arraseo, thank you, have a good day little one" she said. I smiled and bowed to her "ne! You too!" I said. She
Smiled and waved and I walked out with Chan's money.
"You done?" He asked. I nodded
"Oh- by the way, here" I handed him the money. He looked at me confused
"Huh?" He asked
"It's the money for our drinks. I said I'd pay but you didn't let me." I said shrugging.
"Aish, when I say it's my treat I mean it. There was nothing wrong with me paying .." he said
I shook my head
"It's okay, I payed for it already" I said.
He shook his head and smiled. He ruffled my hair "ay...what am I gonna do with you Hwang minjee?" He said. I giggled "I don't know" I said. He smiled at me and we all kept walking home. When we arrived at the company we walked in and went to find the others.
"Oh- hey minjee! Hi hyung!" They said waving at chan. Me and chan smiled and waved to them.
"Who's this?" Jisung said.
"This is Felix!" I said. Jisung smiled and bowed
"Hello!" He said. Felix bowed
"Hello everyone" he said.
Hyunjin looked at Felix "where are you from?" He asked. Felix looked at me and chan.
"He doesn't understand Korean guys" chan said
"Oohhh" they all said while nodding.
"H-hi, where you from?" Said changbin with his broken English. I giggled and gave signal to Felix to continue
"Ah- im from Australia!" He said.
"Ahhh! same like hyung!" Jisung said. Felix nodded
"You trainee here?" Asked hyunjin
Felix nodded. I smiled and looked at hyunjin
"He likes to dance a lot. He's like an Australian version of you and minho" I said. Hyunjin giggled
"I can't wait then" he said. I looked at Felix
"He said he can't wait to dance with you since he likes to dance too" I said. "Ahh" Felix said nodding.
In the end, me Felix and chan became the "Aussie" group of the company. We're all really close since we all went through the same thing of having to move and being away from family and friends. We support and help eachother in everything and that's only one of the qualities our friendship has. We're all really happy with eachother to this day and we all know we'll support eachother even when we're all old and can't even walk properly.
