Present day...

"So let me get this straight. You were with Aunt Bella first?" Beatrice asked incredulously. It was difficult to picture her impulsive and carefree Aunt Bella with her strict and cold father. It just didn't seem possible.

"Yes. She's the only woman I've ever wanted." Hector said. He didn't even seem to care that his wife was sitting beside him when he proclaimed his undying love for her little sister.

His eyes were glowing like embers as he remembered all the beautiful memories he'd shared with Bella. Life had been so different and he had been a different man.

Beatrice had never seen her father look like that before. He was always stiff and prim.

"Why did you even like her? Because she was beautiful?" Beatrice asked.

"Why did you like Ethan? He intrigued you. Bella was like that." Hector said sadly.

Beatrice leaned back unsure of what to say or ask. The whole story sounded so crazy and impossible in her head.

Her father and Aunt Bella. She racked her brain to remember all she could about the woman. She'd loved her Aunt Bella but the woman wasn't the type you'd expect to see in a serious relationship. It was difficult for anyone to hold her attention for long. She often got bored and discarded things after a while.

"Well, considering the fact that you almost had me killed, I believe I'm entitled to asking a few questions," Ethan spoke up suddenly. His deep voice was clear and firm like he wouldn't take no for an answer.

"I don't have to answer any question you ask! You took advantage of my daughter." Hector snapped. He hated the idea of this unidentified man touching his daughter.

"If I did, then you did the same to Bella." Ethan raised his eyebrows. He didn't seem offended by what Hector had said.

"There are hypocrites in the room. I cannot punish them for their hypocrisy but I can hurt them for refusing to reveal the truth." Seeker said.

The next thing everyone heard was the sound of Beatrice screaming at the top of her lungs as she got electrocuted.

"Stop!" Hector shouted immediately. He couldn't stand the sound of his daughter screaming in pain.

"I knew you would be reasonable with the right incentive. Now, Ethan? Ask your questions. And you must answer, Hector. After all, this might be your only opportunity to tell the truth." Seeker warned.

Ethan cleared his throat uncomfortably. He wanted answers but he didn't want Beatrice to get hurt.

"I'd like to know about Bella and Leila. What was their family like?" He said finally. It seemed like the safest question to ask.

Hector's lips tightened with anger.
"The Herreras were very powerful business gurus. They owned a portion of all profitable businesses. They were known for transforming unprofitable ventures into billion-dollar empires overnight. The way an average man like you would buy suits, they bought businesses. They were one of the wealthiest people in our circle. In fact, they could afford to buy my father and his estate five times over if they wanted. They had two daughters, Bella and Leila. Leila was the first." Hector said.

"My mother was apparently the most beautiful," Beatrice added. She didn't want to admit that her mother was far more beautiful and more intelligent than Aunt Bella.

Leila glared at her daughter.
"I was the most beautiful. I was the best at everything. Bella was just a cheap imitation of me." Leila snapped.

It was amazing how petty she could be. After all these years, she was still fighting about who was the best.

"Jealousy doesn't suit you, Leila. You should stick to wearing jewels." Hector growled at his wife.
