"The game wasn't even that good!" Y/n said at kenma before sippin on his drink

"It was one of the most popular games what are you talking about?" Kenma defended

The two were eating lunch at the rooftop of their school, both of them were third years in middle school

"If kuroo was here he would've probably agreed with me!" Y/n said as he shoved a piece of meat inside his mouth

"He doesn't like games, he would probably shrugged you off" kenma muttered

"O-oi! That's mean kenma" Y/n said only to be ignored by the male who's now drawn to his PSP

"...let's see who can kill the boss first"

Y/n and the rest have arrived at Karasuno Sougou Sport's park the place where the match will be held

"Line Up!" Daichi shouted

Y/n walked behind the group, He was the last person to fall in line, with an annoyed face he stood beside daichi who's in front Kuroo

His dull hues locked into Kuroo's Hazel one's, He rolled his eyes and focused his attention on the ground whileplacing both his hands inside his pockets

"Greet your opponents, Let's have a good game!" Daichi shouted causing for the second year beside him to flinch with the sudden loudness

After the greetings, Y/n was the first to leave the line and lazily made his way towards the entrance of the building, Kuroo followed the male and placed a hand on top of his shoulder only to get it slapped away

"Don't touch me." Y/n mumbled before heading towards the rest

"Oya? Why so grumpy?" Kuroo asked as he tries to match the male's pace until someone grabbed his arm stopping him, he turned and saw Daichi shaking his head with a concerned look on his face

Kuroo sighed and nodded slowly before heading back to his teammates.

"Y/n! Good thing you answered! I've got some good news for you!" His mom beamed through the phone

Y/n couldn't help but to let a small smile slip, He too have good news for his mom. She kept on pestering him about going back to volleyball since she knew his love for volleyball

"Me too." he muttered

He couldn't wait to tell his mom that he's finally moving on from his past, he wanted to tell her how much those first years have changed him especially Hinata

"How about let's say it together? " his mother asked with a hint of thrill and excitement on her voice

"Okay" he said

"You're going to Shiratorizawa!"

"I'm playing volleyball again..What?" his eyes widened from what he just heard

"Honey! The recommendation you received just before school could start, I fill it up for you! And you being back at volleyball makes it even better!" She said happily

Y/n nearly dropped the phone in shock, he still couldn't get what she just said. Shiratorizawa? The powerhouse school? Sure he loves to go there but he loves karasuno more he wants to stay here..but his mom have already filled out the forms for shiratorizawa

"Y/n?" Sugawara called, His voice was still groggiy from waking up early in the morning

"I- I gotta go mom..bye" Y/n hungs up and turn around completely ignoring the presence of his senior

Y/n wore his jersey with a heavy heart, Clutching the ends of the uniform he bit his lower lips as he remembered the conversation he had with his mother

'I can't go to shiratorizawa...I don't want to leave Karasuno..'

His sudden changed of attitude didn't went unnoticed by the Nekoma's captain, he knew something's bothering him since Y/n didn't talked to him or gave him any remarks

"Kuroo.." Kenma called him to get in position, he sighed and readied himself for the match

The starting line for Nekoma was Kuroo, Kenma, Yaku, Kai, fukunaga inouka and Yamamoto. While on karasuno was Tanaka, Daichi, Hinata, Kageyama, Nishinoya, asahi and tsukishima

Y/n sat on a bench beside Kenshin, Unlike the others he hates standing it's tiring for him since he needs to conserve his energy for the second set

"Hes not playing?" Kenma asked, Kuroo shrugged

"Probably on the second set.." he mumbled

Kenma was the first to serve, the ball went up and was received by asahi and sent towards kageyama who tossed to Hinata doing their quicks and earning a point, Nekoma was surprised by this.

"Nice job Kageyama, Hinata!"

Next to serve was Tanaka, once the ball was up one of the nekoma players have received it and sent it towards kenma and tossed it towards Yamamoto who slammed the ball only to be received by Nishinoya directing it towards Kageyama who tossed it to Asahi and earn a points

"Something doesn't feel right..." kenshin said catching the attention of the tow who's sitting beside him

"Whats the matter?" Takeda asked

"They could be waiting to see how it'll go like they're observing us or something.." Kenshin said

"Oh..you think so?" Takeda asked

Kenma stiffened in his place when he felt eyes burning a hole at the back of his head, he turned around and was met with [E/c] hues

Y/n was watching him..no..he was observing him, watching every moves he was making, it may sound creepy but it's for future purposes after all he has to play on the second of the match so why not learn their opponents movements especially the one who's nicknamed the Brain of the Team.
