"Again, we'll see about that."
"You know what, I just remembered why I stopped eating lunch here. Imma head out," I grumbled annoyed before I got up from my seat and pushed the chair to the table.
Donghyuck had been trying to get closer to me for weeks and I hated that it was somehow working. It was frustrating to see even outsiders mentioned what slowly but surely started to happen inside me. Avoiding the thought was one thing, but being openly confronted with the problem was another.
I was just about to take my first step towards the exit when Donghyuck suddenly drew my attention back, "Hey, sunshine."
Hearing him call me that in front of everybody caused an icy shiver ran down my spine and I automatically started to grit my teeth. Rolling my eyes, I turned back in his direction and looked down at him with an annoyed expression.
"What?"
"Nothing, just thought you might want your phone back."
Without a second to spare, all eyes were on me as I stood there, completely frozen in place, looking absolutely dumbfounded as the brunette took the object out of his pocket and streched his arm out. Except for Soyeon, whose face was now even more provoked and threatening than before, the rest had quite amused and meaningful expressions and playfully wiggled their eyebrows at me.
Without hesitation, I tore the phone out of the older student's hand, ignoring the devilish glow in his chocolate brown eyes. Not a moment later I rushed out of the room, groaning loudly in frustration when I finally found myself in an empty hallway.
Why? Why did he always have to expose me like that? The others were already suspicious that something was going on between us and of course he had to give them another reason for it.
Even though I still had a few minutes left before class started, I made my way directly to the classroom. Still feeling weak and echausted due to my lack of energy and the slightly painful trhobbing of my limbs, I let myself slump into one of the empty seats and started to pull my school supplies. Meanwhile, I felt a vibration in my pocket, so I took out my phone and glanced over the messages I got.
Most of them were from yesterday's when the girls had tried to contact me in vain. However, the latest one was only a few seconds old and came from Soyeon.
