Dress shopping. Normally, shopping was something that I thoroughly enjoyed but when Ivy, Yara and I had been doing it for almost three exhausting hours and not found a single dress it had started to take a toll on me.

We were all kind of picky with our dress sense and most of the dresses that we had found looked more like what a 60-year-old woman would wear on her way to the bingo hall rather than a dress for the masquerade party. Needless to say, we were struggling.

"You guys, please can we go somewhere for lunch now." Ivy whines as she trails behind me and Yara, on our way to see if we can find a suitable shop.
"Ivy just shut up!" Yara groans.

By this point, we're all irritated partially by the situation and a lot by each other. My feet are hurting and my head is pounding, yet we have to keep going as this ball is on Friday and I'm determined not to show up looking like an idiot or be mistaken for someone's grandmother.

"Please!" Ivy whines. Unimpressed looks sport mine and Yara's faces.

Ivy's face then begins to light up which either means she's had an idea that only she thinks is great or she's actually had a great idea, "I'll even pay!" This time, surprisingly, it's the latter.

Yara swings one of her arms around Ivy's shoulder, "Where we going then Ives?"

"Not anywhere too expensive and fancy." She begs, which is fair, I would've said the same as Yara tends to have a more expensive taste in most things, "I've still got this stupid dress to buy." she mumbles.

We got situated in a tiny local greek restaurant, I'd converted my friends to greek food fanatics when we visited Greece, so now they wouldn't stop trying to find greek food anywhere we went.

The place had a homely feel to it, the tables had checkered blue and white cloths all over them with a water glass of flowers in the middle.

We'd never been to this establishment before, although it seemed as though we definitely should have, maybe I could have converted them to Greek food lovers even earlier.

I chose that use would take our seats at a quaint table next to the window, as I was a strong believer of window seats always being the best.

When I was younger and my family would go on holiday, it would always be a battle between me and my siblings to see who would be the chosen one to get the window seat on the plane. Something about looking out onto the world instilled peace inside of me.
