nini had her friends with her for a few hours. they just talked and helped her take her mind off of ej and smile. she was thankful for having them with her, but her mind kept wandering off to what ricky said.
she was still hurt with everything that was happening with ej, but that didn't necessarily mean that her feelings for ricky were gone. she did admit to herself that they were there and she didn't really know why she thought that he would feel the same way. it had been three years since they actually had a full friendship and he moved on. that's what she was telling herself over and over again.
the next day at school, nini arrived with kourtney to school and they headed straight to their lockers, ignoring the stares and whispers once again
"i really wish i could be invisible sometimes." nini sighs, opening her locker to get her stuff for the day
"these people just have nothing better to do in their lives, and you're interesting." she smiles
nini laughs softly and nods "thanks kourt."
when she turns around, she sees gina walking towards her with a smile
"uh- kourt why is-"
though kourtney wasn't there anymore
"kourt?" nini calls out, looking around the hallway
"hey neens." gina says
she turns around "oh! hey gina."
"i have to talk to you." gina says quickly
"oh- uh- okay? is this about the ice creams? because-"
gina laughs and shakes her head "it's about ricky."
nini raises an eyebrow and starts fiddling with her charm bracelet nervously
"uh-w-why would we need to talk about ricky?" nini asks, successfully hiding her british accent
"because we need to get a few things straight between us."
'she's going to murder me for liking ricky isn't she?'
"o-okay?"
"i just wanted to be super clear that i know you like him-"
nini's eyes widen
'is it obvious?!'
"- and i know you're jealous of me and ricky-"
'crap crap crapity crap crap.'
"-but there's nothing going on between us." gina says
"really?" nini asks confused
gina nods "he's-uh- how do i say this?" she sighs "he's not really my...type."
nini raises an eyebrow "huh?"
"don't get me wrong he's cute and all-"
'this is so uncomfortable.'
"-but he doesn't really fit the category of the people i'm into." gina looks at nini, waiting for her to get what she's saying
but nini being nini, was completely lost as to where she was going with it
gina shakes her head with a smile "nini, i'm gay."
the brunette's jaw drops and she looks at gina with wide eyes
'well this is the most embarrassing freaking thing i've ever experienced isn't it?'
