Epilogue.

An Alpha's Love.

"You, don't get to just pop up in my life however you please, and you, don't get to abandon me for years and expect me to just forgive you because you asked, I love you both I really do but I'm not doing this." After the overwhelming surprise at school, we decided to drive home and not cause a scene.

My mother was there waiting but Dean according to my mother had gone to work, so we sat down trying to be civil with each other but the tension and anger were apparent.

My brother looked older and more mature just like dad, he looked every bit a part like him except he had a bigger build. "So you left home and decided to live with your boyfriend, Linden I don't even know this side of you, is this even legal." He argued and I tried to not punch him.

"If you had been a brother you would've known that my 19th birthday is in a month and also if you didn't abandon us you would know what kind of a mess my life was before the boyfriend you don't approve of came and changed it." I spat looking at him.

"That doesn't make it right Linden, I may not have been around but she's still our mom and you should've at least given her a chance." I scoffed looked at them both. "Did you do the same or you left, did you put effort in being a son or you just hightailed and left us, she neglected me after you left, she had no time being a mother between being with her job or boyfriend." My answer baffled my brother I could see it.

"She has a boyfriend?" He questioned looking at mom. "You would've known if you actually cared enough to be part of this family, and just so you know, I don't need your approval for anything related to Emric, it's my life and I'm sure you both know what that means you've done it too, so don't get involved." I spat out before walking out of the home office my dad used before.

"Linden wait, you can't just leave things like this, I haven't seen you in years and you're just about to leave without a word more, don't go with the hate you harbor." I turned around to face my brother and mother.

"I don't hate you, or mom, you're the family I will always love but as much as I want it to be different I can't, I've grown as I've gone through all the crap life threw at me, I was alone when it happened but I clung to the hope that you would return and we would be a family again but that didn't happen and now here we are." I chuckled bitterly.

"I'm taking care of myself and my mate, I'm more than alright, I'm doing great with what I have but that doesn't mean I've abandoned you, I just need more time and less of a shitty apology from  a brother I haven't seen in almost a decade." The two of them looked hurt but I had spoken the truth and I wouldn't waver.

"I'll be here when you're ready." I nod to my brother and turn to leave. "I love you, Linden, I'm always here for you." I heard my mother say before I closed the door behind me. Emric was sitting by the porch waiting for me.

"Come here." He ordered and I walked over to him, curling closer to his heat and the warmth of his embrace. "It's going to be alright, I'm here for you, now and always." I knew that was a promise Emric wouldn't break, he had proved so many times he would be there when I needed him.

"I love you." I whispered, my head laying against his broad chest. "Want to go home and I bake you a cheesecake?" I nodded not looking up. Being the baby I was, I whined until he picked up and walked to his car.

After buckling me up, he made his way around the car and got in. We drove to the packhouse in comfortable silence, when we got there he carried me up the flight of stairs to the suite we lived in.

"Still feeling sore?" He asked making me blush. "Are you thinking of finding out the many uses of cream?" I narrowed my eyes on him and he looked as innocent as ever. "Maybe." He mumbled and I facepalmed. "Why are you so horny?" I chuckled as he began to make the cake.

"Because you make me horny, you drive me nuts I always remind you of that." I rolled my eyes at the statement knowing it was true, he did remind me of it every time.

"You know, we could find out the uses of cheese too." He teased and I got off the stool in the kitchen and ran to the master bedroom. "Come back here babe, if my wolf finds you we'll have to see how many rounds you can go before blacking out!" I closed the door to the bathroom and began to shower.

The door was opened and I gasped in surprise. "Found you." His voice was animalistic, predatory and it made me shiver in anticipation. "Munchie I'm showering." I whined but when those full lips were licked I knew he didn't care.

"Mate, you look good." He growled, I knew that I was naked and laid out for him. He stripped and his shaft jutted out, strong, thick, and hard. "Turn around baby." I did as told and there it was, making me moan loudly.

Although I knew my life wasn't perfect I definitely needed to work on the relationship between me and my brother and my mother, I was relatively okay with everything else.

I wasn't crying and depressed because I had no one to shoulder the burden with me, I had my mate to hold my hand through it all, I had a best friend who was devoted to me more than anything else and parents in law that doted over me, the pack was a second family and I appreciated their love.

I can't say my life turned out badly, it turned out how any normal one would, I had times I knew I would fail at something, times that Emric and I would fight, and also moments that would forever be precious to me.

I was happy with how I was progressing as a person and as a mate. "So you still want that cheesecake?" Emric asked as he placed the last of the cream on top of the cake. "We may have had sex four times today but for me to look like this I need food too, so give me all that goodness alpha." He chuckled and placed a piece of cake in front of me.

"So you ready to be the Luna of the Ryeland Pack?" I was certain that I wasn't but who was ever ready to be a leader, it was like learning to ride a bike, you got better with practice. "No I'm not but that doesn't mean I'm not going through with the ceremony." He grinned toward me.

"Oh really?" He questioned. "Yes, I want to support you and help you with the pack it's my duty as your mate and I'm sure your mom deserves to rest like your dad, they have done a great job but now they need to rest and relax." I spoke finishing another piece of cake.

"I'm sure she's going to help you and nag you about it to no end, the woman is kind of crazy about her first son in law." We both chuckled thinking about his mom. "I'm sure her son is just as smitten with me." I teased and he growled.

"Oh yes he is." I leaned in to kiss him. "I love you Emric, both of you." I whispered and kissed him again. "We will always love you, baby." He replied through the link.

"You know I'm naked under this robe."

I absolutely loved writing this book, it brought out so much emotion from me and I'm glad you all liked it.

The next book in this series is A Human's Desires which will be Train's book, Emden will have snippets in that book too since they play a part in Train's life.
