Chapter 13 - Party

Everything is ready. The venue is set. And just waiting for the students to fill in.

Today is Saturday, the day the Acquaintance Party will be held.

I am currently at my bathroom taking a dip in my foamy bath tub. It's still 2 o'clock in the afternoon. I still have four hours to prepare myself because the party will start at exactly 6 pm. Kaya matutulog muna ako dito. And true to my words, I doze off a second later.

Nagising ako after three hours of sleep. I put on the bathrobe and blow dry my hair before I left the bathroom. Kumuha ako ng undies sa closet ko and put them on. Pagkatapos ay binuksan ko ang malaking kahon na nakapatong sa kama ko. It's the dress I bought at the market.

I take off the robe before wearing the dress, carefully. Then, I look at myself at the full length mirror and saw myself without a mask. Without a cover. Just plainly wearing the dress.

The dress perfectly suits me. The upper part of the dress embraces the curve of my body, the lower part is a mini skirt na tila dinugtong sa off shoulder top and cover it with a white belt. Simple, yet elegant.

Matapos titigan ang sarili, sunod kong binuksan ang lalagyan ng heels. I put it on at para akong tanga na nagpaikot-ikot. I am still a girl you know?

Umupo ako sa harap ng salamin and do a light make up on my face. Nang magustuhan ang ginawa, tumayo ako at binuksan ang pinakamaliit na box.

It's the mask. Susuotin ko na sana ito nang maramdaman ang pagbukas ng bintana at ang pagpasok ng isang nilalang.

"Valerie." His voice is cold, yet husky.

Tumayo ako at tiningnan siya. He is wearing black and white suit that suits him a lot. And I tried my best not to drop my jaw. Damn this man, how can he have this look. How can he be so handsome.

'Seal Activated'

"Yes?" Tanong ko sa kanya.

"You're so beautiful." He said while stepping towards me that made my heart thump like crazy.

Damn, lady. Pull yourself together.

"Thank you." I said and smile at him but he look away.

"Let me fix your hair." Sabi niya at pinaupo ako. Hindi ko alam ang aking gagawin kaya umupo ako sa harap ng salamin at nakatayo siya sa likuran ko.

His hands are so gentle while brushing my hair.

"I'll let your hair down. Don't let other see your bareback." He said, seriously. I just nodded baka saan pa mapunta ang usapan.

He braided two small portion of my hair beside my ear before putting them together at the back. Naramdaman ko naman ang paglabas niya ng kapangyarihan kaya tiningnan ko siya sa salamin at nabigla.

"White fire." Mahinang sabi ko. White fire is gifted only to one person. White fire is also known as Healing Fire. It can heal poison, mild and some of sever wounds.

He formed a flower made of white fire and put it on my hair. It's a flat seven petal flower with a little stem.

"It can help you calm, baby." He softly said before picking up the mask on the table and he gently put it on my face and tie it on the back, hiding it behind my hair. "You're done."

Tumayo ako at tiningnan ang kabuuan ko sa salamin. I look so simple, and that's how I like it.

He stands beside me and take out a camera before capturing the scene in the mirror. It's me standing and him kissing my forehead and holding my waist.
