Eva's pov

You know I always used to see people together and wonder just how they do it.

How one day they confess and a few months later they avoid each other like plague.

How love that should last lifetime can't even last few months before a replacement comes.

I think I knew the reason all along but I never said it.

Lust

A four-letter word big enough to tear your mental capacities and verbal responses.
A virus that corrupts all the files on your computer.

Right now I am sitting in my class with my head lazily placed on my seat's headrest.
I can feel my hair ends twirling every few seconds and I know who is doing it.

I don't want to turn around.
I just want to enjoy this present moment.

The virus I was talking about has corrupted his CPU.
I could see it clearly in his eyes, the first few times we met.

But that's not the only thing.
There was depth, those blue orbs had too many emotions.
Too many for me to interpret all at once.

But one stood out the most that made me accept his proposition.
And that was care.

He cared about my career, my dreams, my fears and simply about me.
I never thought he would, but his honestly and straight forward attitude just blew my mind.

"Stop thinking about me Stalker, concentrate on the lecture"

My thoughts were interrupted as he whispered in my ear.
Looking here and there awkwardly, I straightened my back and looked up at the teacher.

See this was what I was talking about.

The class ended and as usual people gathered at the table behind me.
His social circle consisted of the best of the best students.

I was debating on whether to leave or wait for him.
My hands moving much slower to put in my books in my bag to buy some time.

I managed to get a glimpse of him.
He was talking to the student council president with one hand casually placed inside his pant pockets and another busy going through some paper.

"It's good. Prepare a final draft and get it by tomorrow"

The President nodded taking back the paper from his hands and smiling at him.

I stood there awkwardly not knowing what to do.
He met my gaze and before I could speak some girls came and beat me to it.

"Your majesty! We were searching for you everywhere!"

His gently smiled at them ignoring my presence yet again.
Turning around he started talking to them.

I stared at his broad back as he conversed with them.
The way they flirted with him making me uneasy.

I wanted to leave.
The second I turned around, I felt a firm grip on my wrist.
With mouth open, I blankly stared between his hand on my wrist and his back.

"I am really bad with names, I hope you don't mind"
He continued talking to them, his ignorance said I was not needed here but the grip on my wrist was in contrast to it.

It conveyed just one thing.

Stay

I shifted from one leg to another.
Minutes passed but still, his grip didn't loosen.
Their words making me cringe in dislike.
And further his sweet words to them doing nothing except making me more frustrated.
