Arianna De Luca

Standing in front of me was none other than Shane Argent.

"Shane?" I asked with disbelief in my voice.

"Hello, Arianna." He said with a sick smile on his lips and I immediately pulled out my gun. I pointed it at his head and took the safety off.

"Who're you working for?" I asked as I walked towards him. No way in hell is he the leader of all of this.

"Not so easily." He said and I pointed the gun directly at his forehead.

"You wouldn't want to do that, Arianna." He said and pointed towards the other end of the hall. I turned around and saw Nina tied to a chair with ropes around her hands and legs. She had a piece of cloth on her mouth and there was blood dripping from above her right eyebrow. There was a man standing next to her with a knife kept dangerously close to her neck.

"One wrong step by you and poor Nina might loose her head." Shane said and I turned towards him, my grip getting more and more tight around the gun in my hand.

"Who're you working with and why are you doing this, Shane?" I asked and he laughed bitterly.

"I have my reasons but to answer your first question, the person's coming here shortly," He said.

A man tried grabbing the gun from my hand but I was quick. As I saw him coming towards me, I shot his leg and he fell to the ground. Another man tried the same thing but this time I shot him right in the middle of the chest. Blood started oozing out of the wound and soon his lifeless body collapsed on the floor, staining my carpet.

"Not my persian carpet, asshole." I said sarcastically.

"Don't make this difficult Arianna. We just want some information from you, right now. There's no need to be feisty." He said, advancing towards me and tried grabbing the gun from me.

I took a few steps backwards and glared at him angrily. He tried touching my shoulder, in an attempt to grab me but before he could do that, I shot the side of his shoulder making him grimace in pain.

"You dumb bitch. What will it take for you to understand a small little deal?" He said and I furrowed my eyebrows towards him.

"What deal?" I asked and he shook his head with a smirk.

"You tell us whatever we need to know and we won't hurt you or your little friend, Nina, here." Shane said and I shook my head.

"If you think I'm gonna turn my back towards my husband and betray him, you are wrong. I'd rather die than to back-stab him." I said and his eyes darkened in anger.

"Where is all this loyalty coming from? Last I checked, you don't love him. Your marriage was just an arrangement for him to gain more power. Why be his prisoner? I can offer you a much better life." He said and I scoffed.

"You have nothing to offer me." I said but he shook his head negative.

"I can help you get a divorce from the man. You can take whatever money you want and I can also help you get a new identity. You can kiss this miserable and boring life a goodbye. You can move to whatever place you want to and start fresh. You can meet someone there, fall in love with him, maybe marry him and have a happy, mafia-free life there. Just imagine, yourself in some exotic location like Maldives or Greece with a man you love and a family of your own." He said and I chuckled humourlessly.

"Tempting but no." I said and suddenly, I felt someone's grip on my hands and legs from behind.

I was pulled back and was sat on a chair, similar to Nina. I was tied just like her too but my mouth wasn't taped yet. Oh, so all this bickering about a new life was just to distract me. How dumb am I?

Some of my men came out of their assigned room and tried attacking the men who were with Shane but a man held a gun at my head and I gestured them to stop.

"Now, now, let's have a little chat, shall we?" He asked and a person placed an empty chair before me. He handed his gun to the man and took a seat before me.

"You've been married to Dario De Luca for almost a year now, am I right?" He asked and I didn't answer.

He put two fingers under my chin and turned my head towards him. He snapped his fingers and gestured me to speak. He repeated his question but I still didn't answer.

He took safety off his gun and pointed it at Nina.

"You know what will happen if you don't answer, Arianna." He said in a threatening tone.

"Yes, I am." I replied bitterly.

"Where are the documents of his steels factory at. Let's start there." He said and shook my head laughing humourlessly.

"You stupid jerk. I have no idea where any of his business documents are. Let alone a particular 'Steel Factory' one." I said and his anger heightened.

He place the gun on my temple but the sound of footsteps resonated in the room, stopping Shane. I turned around to see who it was and my eyes widened.
