"I once thought I met one," Jeno suddenly mentioned out of nowhere and I had never felt my heart drop to the floor like it did in that very moment.

If I thought that the blood in my veins had froze before, then I must have been mistaken. That one sentence was enough to petrify my entire body while I held my breath in shock and nervousness.

"Wait, what?" Donghyuck asked equally confused  and now gave his mate his undivided attention as well.

Jeno noticed the three of us literally  piercing him with our gaze, causing him to immediately raise his hands in a defensive position.

"Woah there, I said I thought I had met one," he tried to calm us down, still a bit surprised by our attentive expressions. " You know the rumor that all DRGNS members are supposed to have a red dragon tattoo, don't you?"

Of course I knew about it, I once experienced the awful pain on my own body. If I remembered it, I guess you could say that I cried like a little girl.
It's been a while since I got it, but I would never forget that day.

Back when DRGNS were founded, everyone had agreed, as a sign of our newly formed family, to have a red dragon tattoo engraved on each of us.
Of course everyone was allowed to choose the place and the size of the tattoo, but although many had kept it small, I went for a bigger one.

Therefore, for two years a blood-red Asian dragon adorned my skin and was located directly on my chest. I know the place is a bit strange, but I always wanted to have a tattoo there so it seemed like the perfect opportunity.

Jeno continued his story, tearing me out of my memories before I listened to him in silence.

"I remember running into a bunch of wasted men one night and as you would expect from drunk guys, they tried to pick a fight with me."

Shifting in his seat, he crossied his arms in front of his chest and leaned back.

"Back then I had to knock one of them out so that they would finally leave me alone and the guy I had grabbed by the collar had a bright red tattoo on his shoulder. At the time I thought I might have been messing with a DRGNS member, but it turned out that the tattoo was actually a snake and not a dragon."

Unconsciously I breathed a sigh of relief when Jeno's story finally came to an end. It seemed that everyone only expected men to be part of the gang so they probably never had a suspicious thought when it came to me and my friends.

I mean... it's good that everyone thought that way, but on the other hand it was a little frustrating that nobody assumed that women could have just the same potential .

"As you said yourself," Mark now added as he continued to eye me criticizing, "no one has ever met a DRGNS. They can possibly be more ruthless and dangerous than we are, so you might want to reconsider your perspective."
