"He can be painfully loud and obnoxious, but I love him," Remus says carefully to a Slytherin he heard ranting about 'Black and his idiotic self' whilst he made sure to catch Sirius' eye and give him a faux sly grin.

"Watch your tongue Lupin," Sirius said, not looking up from the Potions book he was doodling on. "I know where you live."

Remus just blinked. "Sirius we live in the same room."

He looked up at Remus and returned the stupefied blink. "I still know where you live."

"Pads," Remus sighed, "You may be the brightest star in the sky, but your most certainly not the brightest student in the school."

The Slytherins snickered, some changing their perspective on the werewolf as James walked in behind Lily, ranting about how she loves him really.

"I'd rather die," Lily says, not turning around as she appeared through the doorway into the dungeon classroom.

"So you admit you'll die of love for me?" James grins with exaggerated gestures.

Lily stops, turns around and points her finger right in his chest so he stops too. She lowered her hand and her eyes had a fire the capacity of her red locks. She said, "If I really wanted to die, I'd climb to the top of your ego and jump down to your IQ."

"Burn," Sirius choked out, stifling his laughter among the onlooking snakes. "At least Moony and Red can talk. Better look next time, Prongs."

James narrowed his eyes at Sirius. "And you. Remus is right, you know- Yes I heard. They both have the wit of I don't whats," he shook his head.

Sirius glared as his quill dripped ink all over his books. Remus winked at Lily who sent a knowing look back. Both of their to-be-partners were absolute dimwitted twats.
