𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗦 𝗟𝗜𝗞𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 - 𝖱𝖾𝗇𝗀𝗈𝗄𝗎 𝖪𝗒𝗈𝗎𝗃𝗎𝗋𝗈 -

YOU AWOKE EARLY IN THE MORNING
when the sky had just begun to turn into a deep, hazy shade of blue. You found yourself in a rather awkward position; your arm was under your stomach while your leg hung over the edge of your bed. You groaned quietly as you slowly rolled over to the other side.
Your lips rose into a smile when you had laid eyes on the man sleeping next to you - Rengoku Kyoujuro
Rengoku's hair was tousled and fluffy, his lips slightly parted as he breathed. You crawled over to Rengoku and carefully rested your head on his bare chest, listening to the sound of his steady heartbeat.
Then, your hand draped over to reach his waist and your legs entangled with his under the blanket. "(Y/n)..." he murmured with his eyes still closed before adjusting himself to a more comfortable position. "Go back to sleep, Kyou.." you muttered back.
He lazily reached up to run his hand through your hair before drifting off to sleep again. You closed your eyes as well and tilted your chin up to leave small kisses onto his neck causing him to groan quietly. As you returned to lay on his chest, Rengoku's breath grazed your hairline, blowing a few strands of hair away from your face.
A few hours later when the sun had finally began to rise, you felt yourself wake up once again due to Rengoku's movements as he woke himself up.
"(Y/n)? Are you awake?.." he asked quietly, his eyes slowly fluttering open. You hummed quietly before your half lidded eyes met his but Rengoku said nothing but adored your features, a small smile on his lips.
"You look beautiful, dear.." he uttered, caressing your cheek with his fingers. You pulled yourself up to meet his level, planting a soft kiss to the corner of his lips. "Thank you.."
Rengoku then dipped down to capture your lips in a short but loving kiss. "Good morning.." he chuckled softly, causing you to smile "good morning, Kyoujuro."
Luckily today was your day off and that meant you both could stay in. Rengoku then snaked his arm under your waist and flipped you over, allowing him to crawl up to you. A slight blush appeared on your cheeks at his sudden action. You placed a hand on his cheek and he kissed your hand chivalrously, causing a fit of butterflies to erupt in your stomach.
He returned your hand to his cheek and smiled lovingly at you. "I love you."
"I love you too.." you replied before he proceeded lay back down and open his arms out for you to lay back down on him. You happily obliged and rested your hand on his chest next to your head while a heavy puff of air escaped your nose.
He knew you didn't want to get up right away so he remained where he lay, holding onto your smaller form. He had never been more happy. You ran your hand down from his chest to his abs, tracing the lines with a smile on your lips, grateful that this was all yours.
Rengoku laughed, causing you to look up at him then down again to close your eyes.
And so the both of you remained in each other's arms for the next hour, happy with being alone like this. Little moments like these reminded you of how much you loved him and he loved you. It was nice, sleeping with the love of you life, knowing you would both never let go of each other.
