I look around only to find out that I'm alone on a deserted road in the middle of nowhere. The darkness seems endless and the stars are the only light that allows me to see my surroundings. I must be in a forest given the fact that the only sound I'm able to hear is the eerie moan of the wind as it passes through the branches of the trees.

Suddenly, I hear the sound of something crashing loudly and when I turn to its origin I see that a car is crashed into a tree.

My parent's car

I run toward it and try to see if they are inside. My dad's head is leaned down and my mother's is full of blood. Her eyes are shut and I see as her blood runs from the corner of her mouth and sticks to her shirt. I try to jerk away the car-door in order to get to her but it's stuck. I keep fighting non-stop as tears fill my eyes and sobs possess my body.

"MUM! DAD!" I keep yelling from the top of my lugs in a failed attempt to make them wake up. I can't lose them again. I want them. I need them.

I turn around looking for any living creature that can help me; darkness covers everything. I glance at my parents but there are no longer there.

I sit up shuddering and crying. My pillow is wet due to the tears and my whole body is aching. The only sounds in my dark room is my thunder pulse and my blood running through my veins. My hands are shaking and I put them together on my lap to stop the trembling.

I close my eyes and focus on my breathing for a while until I feel at least a bit calm.

I head to the bathroom to throw water to my face and stop the pain that hurt my eyes from the previous cry.

I open the door rubbing my eyes but I stop immediately in my tracks once the door is wide open and I take in the image in front of me.

Cyle is standing next to the window examinating his hands that are covered in blood. His clothes are dirty with sweat and red fluid and there is a big scratch on his upper arm. Jacob is standing in front of the mirror looking for something. He leans down the faucet and when he does, I see him.

He's shirtless and I gasp when I really look at him. His whole belly and stomach are covered in bruises. His hands are bloody and in much worst condition than Cyle's. He has a cut near his eye and there's lots of blood on his face.

Jacob sensing my presence turns to the door and when our eyes meet, I panic.

"S-sorry," I mumble looking at the floor and try to shut the door quickly but he stops me.

"No wait!" he says and opens the door again.

"Uhm...you want to be a doctor right?" he asks and when I nod unable to speak, he continues.

"So, you know how to deal with this..." he murmurs pointing at the boys behind him.

"I do," I whisper looking at Cyle and Corbyn who stares back at me with eyes full of rage and exhaustion. It tugs painfully at my heart to look at him that way, to know that he feels that way about me.

"Can you..uhm...maybe help a bit?" Jacob asks and my eyes dart to his. I look at him debating this, not knowing what to do. Do I really want to get involved in something like this now that things are super weird and complicated with Corbyn?

"Please?" he mutters and Corbyn rolls his eyes. The almost desperation in his voice makes me nod and I get into the room. Jacob shuts the door and moves to Cyle.

"We know how to deal with the blood in the hands. But what worries me is this," he states indicating to Cyle's upper arm. He seems tired though his temper helps him hide it. I try to focus on seeing how deep the cut is despite the blood that is above it.
