We all laugh together as we head up the sand to Jake's car.We argue about where to go to eat, then finally agreeing on one.
After our meal we walk to the car, "Hey you guys up for a hike?" I ask
"Ouu! I haven't done that yet!" Olivia says
"Alright, Hiking it is. Jake?"
He gives me a look,
"What?"
Before he can say anything Olivia grabs onto him. "You haaaave tooooo it'll be so much funnnn!" She begs
"Fiiiine."
"Yay!" She says happily
"We got to go back to my apartment though. I need to dress in hiking clothes." I tell them.
"Can I barrow a hiking clothes?" Olivia asks
"Okay but there gonna be big." I tell her and get in the back.

Olivia's P.O.V
Once dressed we head out to the hiking trail. It's not really that busy as everyone is probably at the beach.
Tessa carries a hiking bag with water, snacks and what not. She walks in front of us.
I look over at Jake whose constantly looking around on the ground.
"Jake...why are you so on edge?"
"Watching for snakes." He says not looking up.
I roll my eyes and we keep walking.
A minute later I yell, "Snake!"
And the look on Jake's face was priceless! He screamed doing a hop.
I burst out laughing and so does Tessa. "Nice on!" She says giving me a high five.
"That was NOT funny!" Jake squeaks out his voice cracking a bit.
"It kinda was." I snicker covering my mouth.
He squints at me. "I'll get you back...when you least expect it."
"I would like to see you try." I smirk
"Ladies, ladies." Tessa starts, "Let's not argue."
I snort looking at Jake's frowned eyebrows and nostrils sticking out not impressed as he looks at me.
I snicker trying not to laugh harder.
"Just don't piss off the snakes and they won't bother you." Tessa says
"Well I'm pretty sure stepping on their tail would be pissing them off." Jake states as he watches where he steps.
"Wouldn't they hear you and be like shit it's a human! And scurry off?" I ask
"She has a point there Jake."
"Well you never know! The snake could be sleeping."
"With its tail sticking out? Don't they roll up?" I ask
"Yeah but the tip of there tail could be sticking out." Jake says
I notice my shoe untie. "Ugh." I stop and start tying it while Jake walks ahead.
I look up to see a snake cornered between two rocks. "J-Jake...." I stutter it stands.
"Olivia.. move away very slowly. It's only feeling threatened because it's cornered."
My heart pounds in my chest. I slowly back up as the snake hisses.
"J-Jake.." I stamper not being able to speak as I back up slowly.
I trip on a rock from behind and hit ground. I look terrifyingly of the black snake with a yellow belly.
I sit there frozen as the snake still feels threatened. I look into its eyes.
I feel Jake scoop me up slowly. He backs away holding me. It closes its mouth and lowers.
I breathe heavily and can feel Jake's heart beat, beating a mile a minute.
The snake leaves. "That was a eastern brown snake..." Jake says quietly.
"What the hell you guys?!" I hear Tessa shout trucking up the hill, "I look behind me and you two are gone."
"Well Olivia almost got bitten by the second most venomous snake."
I nod not being able to say a word.
"Oh my god!" Tessa shouts, "Where is it!"
"It went away." Jake says putting me back on my feet.
"Oh thank goodness."
"Jake saved me..." I finally say, "I tripped and he was brave and picked me up and...risked him getting bit to protect me...." I tell her I look at Jake's face and put my head on his chest and wrap my arms around him. "You definitely proved your love..." I kiss him on the lips.
"Ewww get a rooooom." Tessa giggles. "I guess your on my good side again Jake." She nods approving of his actions.
I take a shaky breath in. "Should we head back?" Tessa asks
"No I think I'm okay.."
"You sure?" Jake asks looking at me with furrowed eyebrows, putting a hand on mine.
"Yeah..plus I don't really want to see that snake again I'm sure he or she will not like me for invading it's space again. I'll just be more cautious." I smile not really meaning it.
I inter twine my fingers with Jake's something I haven't done for a while. He gives my hand a reassuring squeeze as we start walking.
~
Our hiking trip comes to an end as the sun sets over the horizon. Splashing the sky with orange and pinks.
"Well that was fun!" Tessa says smiling
"It was! Except the snake part."
"But now you can see why I'm so afraid of Snakes?" Jake asks me
I sigh, "Yes. I do now. All that I have to worry about back at home is the European viper."
"Lucky you." Jake say sarcastically kinda jealous.
"Awe is poor Jakey jelly?" I ask in a babish voice.
"No!" He says crossing his arms
I only laugh. We get to the car and all get in. I go in the front and Tess is in the back.
"Five days and I'm gone. I'm really going to miss Australia..."
"Even the thousands of venomous snakes and spiders?" Tess ask poking her head around me seat.
"Well maybe not so much the snakes and spiders..."
We all laugh.

Jake parks in the parking lot of Tessa's apartment.
I spot Harrison getting out of his car. Uh oh. I look at Jake who's frowning.
"Ouuuu! He got a hair cut!" Tessa squeaks getting out of the car. "Looking good baby!" She shouts flagging him down and shutting the door then running over to him.
She jumps in his arm wrapping her legs around him and planting a kiss in his lips.
I snicker at the too love birds, I roll down the window sticking my head out. "Get a room!" I shout
They only laugh.
