(AN: I'm changing my write style for this chapter, I seriously wanna learn how to remove the POV thing so please give me your responses if I did ok here or not.
Thanks for reading the part 2 of the Black Cat's Heartbeat. I hope you enjoyed my story and I do hope this has brought some form of entertainment and inspiration to anyone who reads it.)
"Most of the Siren's riggings imitate that of mythical creatures, some even suspect them to be the actual creatures themselves..."
The waters tossed around violently as a fleet of shipgirls tried to remain composed in front of an opposing force that lay in front of them. A gigantic serpentine dragon that seemed to devour the moon in the night sky. Its gigantic maw fit the said image of the moon from space inside of it like a small snack. However, that wasn't the real threat.
The fleet's true enemy lay in front of the dragon, a lone man holding what seemed to look like a futuristic Kampilan. The man's black clothes fluttered around as the breeze around them started to gain much more intensity, tossing around waves that scaled up to a meter in size. The man wasn't harmed, however, the fleet bobbed and weaved through the waves in an attempt to remain afloat despite the monstrous waves that thrashed around them.
Multiple screams could be heard from the shipgirls who were driven into a state of panic from dodging all the turbulent waves that came their way. That was until a bright golden light shone from afar. It moved quickly despite the thrashing waves, getting closer to where the fleet was, until all of a sudden, a huge wave of energy pierced through the winds, heading directly for the man in the heart of it all. The man closed his eyes, drawing his sword and with one fluid motion, he slashed the wave when it came into striking range.
Upon collision, both attacks struggled to empower the other, ultimately resulting to a gigantic shockwave that pushed the shipgirls away, like leaves to a wind. After a few moments, the effects of the clash were gone, however, the man just stood there, mockingly adjusting his scarf despite the overwhelming scale of the attack he just blocked.
The light from earlier arrived as well, revealing its figure to be that of a young commander. His glasses shined in the brilliant light while his cape fluttered in the wind, as he made his way to the vanguard, sporting a wide grin. He silently drew his sword, a Bolo that was sheathed on his left leg. The bolo glowed brightly as the commander readied himself for combat, and much to no one's surprise, the man in front of the dragon pointed his sword at the young commander. The two of them stared silently, judging one another while the wind blew violently around them.
A young carrier with white hair stood behind her commander. She charged in earlier in hopes of beating the siren but it was all for naught. He was simply strong and she couldn't do it alone. She knew how strong her commander was, however, despite knowing the strength of her commander, she couldn't help but feel nervous about the engagement that was about to happen. It was a decisive battle between their flagships after all.
"So...the legendary bird that devoured the sun? Is that your motif now Roque?" The man said, his purple eyes gazing smugly at the commander who smirked proudly upon hearing his remarks.
"I could say the same. You look far more edgier the last time we met you know?" The commander said, grinning when he saw the frown on the man's face which the latter quickly covered using his scarf. The dragon then reared its terrifying head at the fleet behind the commander, forcing them to ready their riggings for an all out brawl.
Seeing the commotion within his fleet, the commander sighed and closed his eyes. In a matter of seconds, a multitude of swords materialized from thin air through the help of the cubes. Each one of the said swords looked similar to his bolo. They latched on his back shortly after, forming the image of bright golden wings that glowed brightly in the night.
