12. Peaceful Nights

Saturday arrived quickly. After Jennie left, The 17 year old had made a quick dance party with her mom and Tod (both being completely unaware of the true reason behind it) and afterwards, the man left and she went to bed.

After their quick party, she noticed that she didn't need her crutch anymore since the pain had gone away.

Despite of not admitting, university was super demanding and tiring, specially for the ones who didn't pay to be there, so Rosé was completely exhausted. Plus her job! Her plan for today was really simple: sleep, practice her song (in bed), eat and go to the party around 8.

The blonde was peacefully sleeping when her phone started ringing. She groaned and rolled to the other side, putting a pillow on her head in the process.

The device stopped buzzing and she smiled, going happily back to sleep.

Or so she thought

- Ughhhhhh! - she groaned - Why are people calling me at...

She looked at her digital clock and widened her eyes:

- 3pm!! - she grabbed her phone and answered it - Hello?

- Hey - the voice that she least expected spoke

- Oh.. - she sank on her bed and sighed - Hey dad

- You don't seem happy to hear from me

Rosé loved her father, but since they separated homes, their relationship hasn't been the same:

- I just woke up, sorry dad - she decided to answer that

- It's okay Chaeyoungie - he softly said - How are you? Are you tired?

- A little, uni and work are certainly tiring - she confessed in an understatement

Mr Park chuckled slightly:

- Imagine being a CEO of a company..

Rosé sighed. She knew that her father wanted her to be like her sister, to be involved in economy and to become a powerful woman in the business world. But at the same time, she valued her dad's effort to show interest and support in what she was doing:

- Buttttt that doesn't mean that the artistic world isn't exhausting - he mentioned and she gave a small smile

See? He tries

- Yeah

- So, What will you do today? And how's uni?

- Everything is okay. I'm having a singing evaluation next week so I decided to sing in Korean, which is fine since Jennie is helping me and—

- Who's Jennie?

Jennie. Jennie is someone everyone should have in their lives

- She's a new friend - that was the simplest thing Rosé could say about Jennie and even that wasn't entirely true

- Oh okay. Is she Korean?

- Yeah she is and she's a year older than me. She's helping me with my pronunciation

- But is she part of your class?

- No, she doesn't study, but she wants to tho - she quickly stated - She doesn't have the money

- Oh that's a shame, everyone has the right to study

- Yeah, but she's a fighter tho - Rosé smiled - I'm going to a party with her today

- Wow, my daughter likes parties now?

- I don't.. dislike them - she positioned herself on the bed, with her belly facing the ceiling - I just don't fancy them. But Jisoo said it will be a small one so.. and Jennie needs to make friends
