I groaned yet again for the fifth time when I opened an email from nearby packs congratulating me on my mating, I wondered how they knew but it didn't matter, they would finally let go of their ambitions to use their sons and daughters as bargaining chips with my pack.

Aries and I were doing great and the pack was happy to have him as luna officially, even though they already knew it would happen eventually. I was glad they had accepted him easily.

A knock on the door to my office brought me out of my thoughts. "Come in Axel." I called out and he walked in, due to the fact that I was now mated my office had the knock first rule, unless you wanted to have a view of live porn, my cock slamming into my mate, then go ahead come in.

"This is a first in a few weeks." Axel mumbled. "Whatever do you mean brother?" He chuckled when I asked him. "You know what I'm talking about Alvares, you and your mate are always having sex which I don't condone, just left my own mate sated." He responded and I shook my head in disbelief.

"Stop tiring out poor Danny, he's pregnant." I reprimanded and he raised his hands in mock surrender. "He's the one who begs for it, I'm only a humble servant, you'll see when Ari is pregnant." His mention of a pregnant Aries made me smile.

I wanted to see him waddling around with a stomach swelled with my pup and I know soon enough we would have that, I just knew it. "Fine fine, if you say so, what brings you here then." I inquired and he slumped back on the seat.

"Oh nothing really just wanted to hang out, we haven't done that in a couple of days plus I was free, I know Aries went to get shipments of what he ordered so I decided to keep you company too." He responded and I appreciated his company and the gesture.

"Thanks Axel, it's actually the first time I've let him go past the town, I'm actually a bit worried about him." I asserted and he chuckled. "He's stronger than the head warrior Alvares, he'll be fine and it's not like he went to a bad place, Cornell and Marquee know he'll be around so they sent wolves to guard him." As Axel reminded me I finally relaxed.

Indeed the alpha of the Hollow Creek assured me the Luna of the Crescent Fall would be well taken care of, when I told him my baby would be in the city, I was grateful for the help and creating the alliance with the Hollow Creek.

"He's your chosen mate so obviously you'll be worried but he's okay, he's taking great care of the pack by the way, the nursery wolves adore him and the teens find it easier to learn pack rules and protocol along with history from him." Axel commented and I swelled with pride inside.

Aries as Luna had a lot of responsibility, along with caring for me, he had a shop to run and the pack to look after and he's doing it perfectly, even if he's had no training from a previous Luna, he's simply amazing.

"I'm glad he is, and I know just how lucky I am to have him as a mate, though now you're slacking on your duties." I glared at Axel and he held his breath. "No I'm not, I actually do more lately, it's only that I'm preoccupied with Danny man." I chuckled as he responded.

"Axel I'm only joking, I know you have a mate to take care of that's why I lessened your duties to the patrol and training, Aries and I can handle it until you're capable of doing it." I reassured him with a smile and he sighed.

"Don't do that, it's not fair, anyway where is the Luna, shouldn't be back or almost here." I checked the time and there were still a couple of hours till he was late. "Nope he will be here soon, he knows what's good for him so he won't be late." Axel sighed with a chuckle as I responded.

"I wonder how you two function, you're so consumed by the other it's almost startling." He comments and I shrug. "I don't know what you're talking about, isn't that what normal mates do?" I quirked a brow urging him for a response.

"I suppose so but you guys are just a tad bit extra that's all, he's like the puppy who follows you around and you're the big bad wolf he pokes for fun, literally." Both Axel and I burst into a frenzy of laughter after his statement.

"Its good to see you laughing old friend." He mumbled and I looked at him with a smile, Axel had been the first friend I made when I came to Sydney Falls, I never wanted another friend after him, as we built this pack he was always there for me, in the highs and the lows, he supported every decision I made and accepted me as his alpha.

"Its good to actually feel free of the burden." I asserted and relief flooded his face. "You told him?" He asked with a baffled expression. "Yeah a couple of weeks ago." He smiled yet again. "I'm so happy for you Alvares, it's good to see this side of you brother." He added and I chuckled.

"Its mostly all his doing and I couldn't be happier with my life." I exclaimed and Axel chuckled, he had known about my past as did I with his, he was an outcast with nowhere to go and I was trying to find a place for myself in the world, he became the brother I never had and we built this pack.

He had to know about my past because why would you trust someone to lead you when they couldn't earn that trust through action and clarity, I proved myself and Axel gladly followed me.

"Have you set the date for the wedding yet or are you still fucking like crazy." He chortled and I lightly glared at him. "I left it to Aries, he said he would tell me when he's back." I exclaimed to which he nods with enthusiasm.

"Can't wait for your wedding man, Danny and I have been eager for the day you get hitched and it's finally here." Axel responded with his usual energy and I laughed at his eagerness. He and Danny had their ceremony a year ago, of course, Aries had been my date since he forced me to go and I began to notice him back then.

I'm sure my story with Aries began at Danny and Axel's wedding when he forced me to be his date and accidentally spilled his wine on my shirt, whilst everyone kept their distance he kept doing things that brought him closer to me.

Now everything he does turns me on and I can't resist bending him over and having my way, I can't resist doing what he says because he's got me hooked to his love and I don't object to it, I want him to be in charge once in a while.

"Speaking of my wedding would you be my best man, I won't have anyone else brother." I asked knowing he would never say no, he was the only one qualified for the honor anyway. "Obviously I would be your best man, no one can fit the criteria, we've been through battles and rogues together man." He exclaimed excitedly.

Of course, he was right, we had battled rogues who wanted to take what we had built and we survived, he deserved the honor. "So that's a yes?" I prodded. "Damn right." I chuckled when he responded.

When I checked the time I realized it had been a few hours of just hanging out with Axel and talking. "Aries is late." I growled and Axel chuckled knowing someone was in trouble. "Oh shit Danny is yelling through the link, gotta go man, see ya later." He announced getting up and I chuckled.

I put everything in its place and the documents I needed including my laptop into the messenger bag Aries got me and locked up my office. Rushing out of the packhouse, I walked home to find Aries car, not in the garage.

I sighed and began preparing dinner, after an hour Aries parked outside, with his footsteps I knew he was running, he got inside to find me standing just a distance from the door.

"Alpha I can explain." He quickly asserted. "Strip."
