Chapter 45

That morning, Maeve woke up to the sun shining on to her face. When her eyes fluttered open, she heard the small snores that were lingering her ear. She tried to slowly get up without waking up Fred, but he felt her movement and woke up. He tightened his hold on her and she slowly turned to face him

"Good morning love." He smiled, "You sleep ok?"

"Yeah." She honestly didn't remember the sleep, it didn't feel like anything. She just felt rested for the first time.

"We should probably get up before anyone finds us."

"Yeah probably." She laughed, but before they could get up the door flung open.

"MAEVE!"

"JULIA!?" She squealed, then Julia ran and jumped on the bed.

"Sorry Fred!" She laughed, and then hugging Maeve.

"I'll just meet you guys down stairs." He laughed getting up and walking to the stairs.

"I was gonna pull you out of bed this morning." Sirius laughed while leaning against the door while Fred was closing her bedroom door, "Guess I'll just send Julia in there every time you end up in the wrong bed." Fred got all red

"Sorry sir." He looked down

"Its okay, you're actually the first person to actually get her to drink it." He began following him down the stairs.

"Has it been this bad?"

"Surprisingly that was the calmest nightmare she had this past month. Probably because you guys are here." He tried to smile, "But Fred, she's okay."

"I know."

"She's Maeve" they said in unison

Back in the room the two girls laid in bed.

"How you doing?" Julia asked

"Good, I wish I was able to leave this house though. Sorry I haven't been able to be in contact."

"That's okay, your mom comes over sometimes to tell me how you're doing."

"Yeah she's been really anal about everything I do now."

"That understandable." She laughed, "I mean, you were kidnapped by the one and only, that's pretty big." Maeve just laughed

"He's really ugly" she snorted

"I bet" the two girls just sat in bed for a bit laughing.

"So Fred?" She lifted an eyebrow at Maeve

"Oh shut up, we just slept." she laughed, "Finally. I felt like I wasn't going to sleep ever again."

"How is this going to work when we go back? Am I going to have to smother you to sleep every night?"

Maeve laughed, "Nah, Mom talked to Snape and Dumbledore. They have dreamless sleep for me to take so I don't wake up you and the girls up in the middle of the night." She smiled, "Why don't we go get some breakfast, I'm very hungry."

When they got downstairs, Dumbledore had already dropped off their letters.

"Maeve! Me and Ron are Prefects!" Hermione told her

"Ron?" Maeve snorted, causing the twins to laugh too

"Oh Ronnie! That's everyone in the family!" Molly squealed

"What are Fred and I? Next door neighbors?" George said, Maeve giggled.

"Oh Maeve, here's your letter!" Molly handed her the envelop, she sat down. Fred pushed her a bowl of porridge. She sent him a smile and then opened her letter to have a larger badge fall out. She assumed it was the prefect badge until she read the engraving.

"Holy shit." She breathed out, which caught the attention of the twins and Julia.

"SHIT Maeve!" Julia laughed, "No way!"

"Whats going on?" Molly asked.

"Looks like were sitting in the same room with the new Head Girl." Fred laughed, sending a wink towards her.

"OH! EMMELINE GET IN HERE!" Molly screamed, Emmeline, Sirius and Remus ran in with their wands out, "Is she okay?" Remus yelled, Maeve felt bad that they always worried about her, but she also felt very loved and happy that they cared so much about her. When they saw her in the kitchen they put their wands down.

"Maeve show your mom what you just got."

Maeve had a huge smile on and she turned to face her mom waving the badge in her hand

"Im head girl!" She laughed, her mom ran to her picking her up and spinning her around.

"Merlin! I'm so proud of you!" She cupped her hands on her face kissing her forehead. Maeve was glad Harry wasn't in the room, she felt guilty when her mom gushed over her and how Molly does with her kids. She always felt sorry for Harry for missing out on these feelings with his parents.

"We need to have a celebration tonight!" Sirius yelled, "the last hooray, before the kids head back!"

That night, the house was filled with laughter and love. Even though the house was dark and dusty, it felt warm. It felt like home.

"To the Head Girl!" Sirius lift his glass, followed by everyone else. Pointing their cups at Maeve, she just smiled, putting her arm around Harry she lifted her cup, "To my family". She saw Harry's face light up by the word family. "To family!" They all said.

Maeve sat down in the living room with Harry, "Harry, I know I've been distant this past year, but I hope you know.... We are family. I grew up hearing stories about your parents, and I knew them when I was 3. You might feel alone, but i'll always be there for you." She smiled at him, he came over and sat on the couch next to her, placing his head on her shoulder. "Thank you Maeve. You don't know what that means to me."

"I'll always be there for you."

Emmeline and Sirius were standing outside the room listening to the whole conversation.

"She's just like you, Ems." He smiled, "I think that's the same thing you said to me 5th year."

"She's a good kid."

"You did good. You're a good mom." Sirius smiled, placing his hand in hers. "I wonder how she'll feel about us."

"About who?" Maeve said when her and Harry walked into the hallway. "Are you two... like together?" Her eyes were wide, Remus had just walked down the stairs,

"Whats going on?" Remus looked between the girl and her mom, "Oh did we just tell her?"

"Maeve, I.. We wanted to tell you that..." but before she could finish Maeve ran up to the two engulfing them in a hug

"Finally! I was waited for this to happen since last summer!" She laughed

"You're not mad? I figured because your dad." Sirius rubbed the back of his neck

"You deserve happiness. Dad wouldn't want you to be alone for the rest of your life." She smiled, "I'm okay with it, if it means you'll be happy." The three engulfed each other in a hug, Maeve grabbed Harry and pulled him in. "You're apart of this family too, Harry." Harry squeezed Maeve's side. He felt at home. He had a family.
